it looks SO boring. clearly crytech havnt learned anything as far as multiplayer is concerned. far cry had crap multiplayer, crysis had crap multiplayer, and based on the video, so will this.
Also the video has proved terrible spawning. At one point he instantantly spawn kills that guy from behind.. that would rageeeeee. I thought mw2 was bad*

The MP, I love it, definitely can see myself spend many hours into it.
It seems the levels are more medium sized COD style but sci-fi version, makes me super happy.
I am not a guy who wants genre changing in the MP, I have always liked Team Deathmatch the most, being simple and just do your thing and have fun. So this is definitely my type, add the whole sci-fi twist to it, I am there :)
Also this video seems like it was "planned".
They obiously dont want to show off the gameplay when the player constantly dies and have to respawn, so it is planned that nobody kills the player so they can properly show the MP.
Thats why he spawns next to the sniper, thats why nobody is shooting at him even though he is right infront of the enemy...etc.
PS. I hope Crytek still has those "intense" ambient music in the MP like they had in previous game, this one reminds me a bit of The Hunted composed by Brian Tyler :)
That or custom music for PS3 version as well :)
PSS. I wish they could show the on-the-fly weapon customization...unless they removed it for this game? :S
BTW: Most of you seems to forget that there is more than 6 Months until it comes out. So even if you find something to moan on it there is enough time to Improve the Game to absolutely Glory.

it's not just the planned nature of it all, it's everything. it isnt going to stop me playing the game, but i wont be touching online. they've proven time and time again that they cannot do a compelling multiplayer component. it always feels tacked on, and limited in scope. feeling dated as a result. this is looking the same. i honestly can't see how this is going to compete with the likes of halo reach and cod on the 360 or killzone 3 and cod on the PS3? Too many shots in the head to get a headshot. Most servers are Radec Academy, clusterfuck with grenades and explosives in general, slow gameplay...yes much slower compared to Crysis.
If anything, it is GG that has to prove themselves with Killzone 3, Crytek has good enough MP that doesnt need more fixing than Killzone 2 needed.

Fans of Crysis will play online for sure, even to this day, there is alot of people playing Crysis Wars on PC.

i think multi's always going to be an added bonus with Crysis anyway isnt it? i dont think any of us were instantly thinking multiplayer when they announced crysis 2. And i dont think many bought crysis 1 for the multiplayer (did it even have multiplayer?)
We're all going to get this game because we're graphics whores.. the developers know that thats the games big selling point, its why they've made such a fuss of the engine so far. If it's got a decent story and campaign this time then great. Multi's just the iceing.
For me Halo Multiplayer isnt that Great. Sure its making Fun to do this Crazy Stunt Kills ore something like that but if you dont spend every hour of your life in this Game you will suck Online. And i prefer to play more than one Game Online so Halo MP isnt that interesting for me. I play the Campaign in Splitscreen and a few Rounds Splitscreen Online but than i go back to my easier to master Online Games like CoD ore BF.

If anything, it is GG that has to prove themselves with Killzone 3, Crytek has good enough MP that doesnt need more fixing than Killzone 2 needed.

According to YOU, doesnt mean it is medicore.
Not many could play Crysis because of the high demands for the PC thats why not many can play it.
But now that it is coming to PS3 and 360 as well, it is available to a much wider audiance than before.
Team Deathmatch modes to some will always be "boring", thats why there are other stuff like capture base...etc. there is 6 modes there, this was just to show you a default team deathmatch of how it was going to be like in Crysis 2.
Aside note I noticed, yes this game has kill streaks now.
Half way through the video you can see on the middle left of the screen it says "hold Y to use radar" of some sort, later on a Alien Ship ability was available.
So near the very end of the video it was the player that called in the alien ship.
I just hope these perk modules and kill streaks are balanced or else they will be another MW2 nonsense again.
