Gamescom is upon us, with the two conferences given by Microsoft and Sony tomorrow, but Koch Media and Deep Silver have decided to draw their weapons first with this new Dead Island 2 trailer. We should be able to put our bloody hands on the game this week, so stay tuned!

Well fu*k! they re-used animations from Dead Island. Besides they showed nothing new.

What. I thought Deadlight was developed by the Dead Island team. No, wait, not Deadlight, Dying Light. Or Dead State? Daylight? Last Light? Dying Island? Too much light, death, and zombies.

P.S.: Oh right, it's Techland that developed Dead Island and now works on Dying Last Whatever, and this game is being developed by the Spec Ops: The Line devs, Yager. Interesting.

yes yes yes yes... love it nothing better than smashing zombie skull in, cannot wait play, game looks great and more open, hopefully we get some good mods for it like dead island did

I'm more set on Dying Light, but I could see myself going for this as well. I imagine one of the games will slip a few months down the line however. Probably this one.

i don't see any similarity to the first two dead island games, graphics, animation, blood, more blood and more zombies, the first games were bug ridden where as this looks a lot better, tons of new stuff, me thinks some of you need to go back and play the first two games again!

People needs to understand that this is Pre-Alpha fotage, it says so even in the trailer in big letters.

So to complain about graphics, animations and such at this point is so wrong.

Because they show it to the audience. With new title you would think that you see something new. But it's only ctrl+c, ctrl+v with new city.

No? New weapons, new tone, and the gameplay looks different to me. Maybe people are just thinking "HUR DUR, HIT MAN WITH STICK, ALL LOOK SAME" but this looks very little like the original game.

Maybe, just maybe, aside from the bugs, the people who enjoyed the games ENJOYED the core elements of the previous games? I don't really know what they could possibly show you in a 2min trailer that would satisfy you.

Maybe Dying Light is more your style if you want a big departure.
