I'm getting lost in FF games. It looks to me, like there are three or four announced games from FF world, but none is released. :-D But this looks really nice.
I count three - versus XIII/XV which has been in development hell due to incompetent director since its announcement in ~2006, Final Fantasy VII remake on which we'll only get ANY info at all this Winter, and that game with chibi characters.
its looking good but I do wish they kept the original look for Noctis, and though I don't mind most of the others redesign but get rid of the white bit along the top of Prompto's boots, I think it looks pretty silly

Game is looking great. I do wonder if this game is coming out in the next year and a half considering that they're only in talks now with the Just Cause 3 team to use some of their tech on a game that is supposedly only 65% complete.
If Kingdom Hearts 3 comes out before this game.. I just.. what?

that's why I hate open world games, walking or driving to the mission is longer than the mission itself, I don't know how people find open world games fun.

Final fantasy 8 was off the chains. Don't know why people say it was terrible. Lots of memorable moments in that game.

Rightly so as it is probably the difference between a 2025 release and a 2030 release.
If they do pick UE4, it would be a smart decision for the remake. Lots of studios have picked up on it. This would be a good tool and opportunity for 3rd party partnerships. Having more developers use the tool instead of them having to learn the luminous engine would bring down development time.

They only just started talks with using parts of Just Cause 3's engine, and if high ground airships don't make it in time for release then they'll add in through a patch afterwards. Tabata said they won't delay the game due to airships.

No game is going to use Luminous until XV is complete. Luminous is still being co-developed alongside XV.
I can tell this performs great! Though it's hard to see if this is 1080, through the blurry lines I do seem to notice a lot less glistening around edges, maybe indicating this is higher res than Duscae.
It could easily be the PC version running here too. I just like to speculate. That area feels really bland though.. probably due to the setting.
