Liberated is really a game that catches the eye. With its well-crafted comic book art style and its dark atmosphere, it makes you want to see more. Even though Comic Zone comes to mind, Atomic Wolf's game does not follow the exact same patch as the game is divided between reading sequences (which sometimes include choices) and short shooting and stealth sequences. The idea is quite brilliant, and again, the title's art is excellent. The main problem is that gameplay isn't quite where we hoped it should be. Contrary to Conrad B. Hart (Flashback), the main character cannot crouch, which basically means you must shoot first or pull the trigger faster. Moreover, he only runs, which makes the stealth passages awkward. Because the game can be a bit challenging (the main character isn't very resistant, no pun intended), that can be a tad frustrating. Still, there is definitely something that makes the game appealing to us, so we want to see more of it, hoping it will achieve its true potential.
