As a long time fan of the series (but mostly the first iterations), I have high hopes for this game.

Same here, although based on recent "tactical" games, I'm keeping my expectations low. I love the thought of an open world GR game, and the visuals and freedom look great. Unfortunately (and maybe it will be different when playing), but the physics and combat just seem really lacking. Like the shooting, impacts, and explosions just seem really canned and have no real punch. That would be a deal breaker for me, unless they manage to make it really authentic...which I doubt.

I don't really expect this to be a super great game but I'm interested as a fan of shooters and sandbox stuff.

Can you actually aim while in third person in this game? The constant jumps from third to ironsights looks really crap.

Great compared to modern day shooters, Awful compared to Rainbow Six pre Vegas.

Totally disagree. I'd play Siege over Raven Shield any day of the week. Nostalgia does funny things to people.

It is simply a great FPS. No context needed.

Is this your first Ubisoft game? It's promotional build not representative of final game. Treat it like CGI prerendered trailers, only with ingame engine.

yea, there is an option for shoulder aim too, but I think that first person aim was better.
The graphics are good overall, but I see some minor problems in it from the last E3 till this trailer :(

Not for me the gameplay is way to gadget focused over gun play.

Anyone know if there's a first-person option? It's just not GR to me without it.

I don't think there is any all time first person view, but in aiming there is that you can switch between first person and shoulder view!

The Vegas games are really bad in my opinion, very boring. Had to force myself to finish Vegas 1. So they don't set a high bar, still, I'd take Lockdown over Siege any day of the week.

PS. SWAT > Rainbow Six.
