EA released a few images of Green Day: Rock Band, the next game by Harmonix exclusively dedicated to a unique band. We also added the complete tracklist so you know what to expect when the game is released in early June.

Not that I'm a Green Day fan, but I wonder why they didn't include any tracks from their first album.

I don't think another Rock Band or Guitar Hero game will survive this year with the release of "Power Gig" the music simulator that uses a guitar peripheral that has actual strings, and it can be played in a non-gaming session with a standard amp. It's the perfect peripheral for anyone interested in playing a guitar.

@Omegaheat, you'd be surprised. Not everybody has a real guitar and not everybody WANTS to play a real guitar. It'll just seem like practicing.

such an overrated band. Every song sounds the same.. same whiney american vocals, 3 chords.. only now it's 40yr old singing them for the kids

I dont think the developers really thought this one through. There are way better bands out there to make a GH/RB game out of than these guys.

I think they thought it through quite a bit actually. I can't stand Green Day, but as far as commercial rock bands go, they're pretty high up on the list as far as money-making potential goes.

Some of those really long songs on American Idiot would be pretty epic to play whether you're a Green Day fan or not.

I probably wouldn't buy a Rock Band or Guitar Hero game centered around my favourite bands. I find the stuff fun to listen to, but a lot of it wouldn't translate to being fun to play or sing in a game.
