After being delayed to an unspecified date in Japan, which caused a considerable turmoil among the GT community, Gran Turismo 5 is back in the spotlight with these new images of the Toyota FT-86 G Sports Concept. Update: Added a trailer.
Great looking car, I just hope this time Toyota puts a little more power in the Celica. I heard it's gonna be a 4 cylinder Turbo made by Subaru, basically taken from the Sti. Not sure if it's 4 wheel drive or RWD but in all black that is one sexy car.
As for GT5, it's so frustrating I'm just gonna say the game looks nice.
A mixed bag really. Some looks relly nice while others are average at best.
This is not the same GT5 that has been sold to us for ages.
As for the delays, has this been delayed for the US also? If so, then damn, Forza 4 is gonna be just around the corner when this gets finally released...
Game still needs a lot of work going off the 'demo', cars look great, But that's about it ATM. Hope they get it sorted in the end can't wait to get my G25 out
OSG.. I belive it's not had a release date yet in the US, So no technically not delayed.

Well, we never had a date for the US, but if it got delayed in Japan it pretty much means the game got delayed, not much else to it.

Yeah, cars look awesome I think. And I tried the demo with a momo wheel, I wouldn't get too excited about using with this game--try it on the demo first I guess.

Simply awesome. The screeshots and the older one were taken from this I guess. The only thing that is not great are the trees. But overall it looks most beautiful and photo-realistic racing game because the LOD in car is just amazing. GT5 is for car porn as someone said lol.
I also do not have steering wheel but DFP GT is probably the best wheel for GT5 although latest wheels are best for PC sims. This guy is advertising their GT wheel in this small overview at CES http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zBnFqrftXfU

I don't know about you guys but this is going to be my fav game :D
16 cars at a time and online too is what they have said. But I also fear about the AI as he just follows the default racing line and nothing else. For online they said it will be better than other racing games.
About the release I think it even might be in Q4 2010 English version. There is no need to release it in March even in Japan because ...

Maybe, but it's really best to just tune out the game until something official is announced, that's what I do and this latest delay caused me no consternation.
This game has had terrible project management. In this day and age, this many set-backs? Very poor show.
That said, the game itself doesn't really appeal to me. Track racing I find very dull. Racing games I do enjoy: PGR had the kudos and tricks you could throw in, and the Rally games (that xbox rally game, forgot it, :/ it was good, and DiRT) were fast, frentic, bumpy, and you could totally trash your car if you messed up. It was awesome.

Still I'm looking forward to this. I've been playing through FM3 with a new 360 steering wheel. Dread to think I may have to get a new steering wheel now for the ps3.
3 blue-ray dics game. I understand why they try to make everything perfect. If there was a 1 more year delay i would agree. Project offset is nearly 10 years in developement and gues what? we will have it this year. So DP team make it perfect !!!
