After allowing the real press to see Grand Theft Auto V in action, Rockstar also released a bunch of new screenshots of the game to make sure everyone got really excited about this new installment in the famous series.
I really don't think the ICE mod is anything special either. It's just a bunch of contrast and HDR filters, and if I'm honest, it can completely destroy the original art style of the game. This looks a lot better than any mods out there for IV. They've upped the poly count on the models, improved mapping, and it looks like they've even upgraded the engine to allow for global illumination seen in LA Noire. I'll take that over any hack.

Also, giantbomb have a little vid up describing their time viewing a demo of the game (the only site that's seen it in action apparently).. they talk about the character switching. It sounds really good.. basically each character still has his story path.. all 3 meet up a handful of times throughout the games story. During these times you can switch seamlessly between each character adding a tactical element. Each character has better skills over the other on certain things.. ones better at drivings etc.
Outside of the story you can also switch between playing each character at any time..only they'll be in their own part of the world, going about their business when you jump into them (like sims - when not playing they're left to their own devices rather than just waiting in a random spot glass eyed till you posess them).

Indeed. People spend more time messing with injectors than they do playing the games, and everyone thinks their over-saturated mess of a result looks better than the original.
I just hope they changed the shooting to Red Dead style. That lock on is a pain in the ass even if it was a gigantic improvement over PS2 era GTA games.

They say that R* has made it more similar to max payne 3. Not really sure exactly what it means though...
I want to see actual gameplay. Screenshots, trailers looks great as far as presentation goes. But of such a AAA game you expect these things. I thought these were on PC. But there is no PC version as of now. May be PC and next gen consoles will be released next year

Who's talking shit now? I have the game on PC, installed the mod and it literally fucks up the art style. Not only that, but it's a serious FPS drag. More realistic, bleached sunlight and shiny HDR does not equal better visuals. High res texture packs are much more appealing than ICE. Stop being a cheeky bastard too and respect other people's opinions. Ta.

It does. It looks very washed out, less colourful and it just doesn't go with GTA's art direction at all. A game never intended to be wholly realistic in aesthetic.

It's a shame GTA isn't dead yet, hopefully sales will be crap. Then assassins creed will die and then cod will melt away. Then some good games will get better sales then the same old crap.
