It has now become quite trendy to promote a game by proposing a short film related to it. Bungie and Microsoft have understood how effective it can be for the fans and the others, so here is one about Halo Reach entitled Hybrid. The game will launch on September 14 on Xbox 360.

Video is corrupted or something. Both stream and download stop at the same point. Also, this's suposed to be two videos I think, and this one shows a mixture of two.... me confused

Yeh, I figure after the many Live action vids they are gonna roll out, it will all fall in to place. That said, I found the dialogue cliché.

yea... that was pretty rubbish.

They tried too hard to make it all serious poignant, but it just end up looking amateurish and flat.

And the desaturated colour palate doesn't help.

Perhaps, but I personally don't care for that approach. Give me the whole thing so I can lay back, grab some popcorn and enjoy. This way, it just doesn't make sense. Atleast, not to me.

If this was an actual proper (and good) TV series, I'd definitely be interested. I'm always looking for more semi-grounded sci-fi series to watch...

just saw the ending to the game. and aside from the last bit of gamplay you partake in, it was pretty damn epic. even tho i'm not a fan of the halo franchise it gave me goosebumps. definately need to play it now to see how it all came to be. see, good things can come from spoilers. it's on youtube if anyone's interested.

Yea, this is possibly the worst live action trailer they've done by a long shot. The whole thing has zero impact and will leave the average consumer baffled rather than intrigued. Even the trailer with the guy gettin all the genetic work done on him was better than this, and at least it said something about the game. All this does is play out like some cheesy soap opera.

Bungie are trying to be too high brow here, they dont achieve it, and it would never work in a commercial for a video game base on blowing shit up.
