I Am Alive is back with a new trailer, after being silent for years, Ubisooft has announced that the game will be available to download this winter on Xbox 360 and PS3.

I'm all far a desaturated colour pallet when it fits the atmosphere or mood (gears, resistance, killzone, fallout) but fuck me this game is practically black and white.

A desaturated color pallet never fits the atmosphere or mood in a movie or game. It actually makes the game unplayable or the movie unwatchable. I want true color and lighting, no matter what kind of movie or game it is.

All multi-platform games, in this generation of consoles, seem to be doing this and it is the main reason I hate them all.

Wow, never thought this game would end up awesome like this. I really like what is presented in the trailer. Oh, and yeah, the colors are... dreary.

No PC version... :(

It's like Zettai Zetsumei Toshi with good graphics. Interesting it's going downloadable too. I wish more games would follow that route.

Looks pretty big budget for a downloadable release, like this would be 5-6 GB if it was 8 hours long.

I'm liking the systems I'm seeing, a mix of everything.

Maybe both, like Oddworld Stranger? Maybe if you equip a gun, you go 1st-person, and melee weapons are 3rd-person?

Damn, that looked WAY better than expected. Actually really looking forward to it now. Agree that the color palette is a tad too muted, they should turn up the saturation just a hair, but still leave it somewhat bleak. The gameplay looks great though. I like these kind of games that don't make you a freaking super hero. Nice have simply surviving as the goal, rather than saving the world again...

jeeze, how low were your expectations for this game to begin with? I think this looks rather terrible. the original idea sounded great, but now seeing it in action just sort of killed it for me. and to see it is coming out this year, even bigger disappointment since we hardly heard anything about it for years and they are already releasing it

I like the colorscheme. It enchances the depressing feel of the world. And by judging from the trailer, there is more color where it's needed. Like the short clip with the kid.

Good Lord help us! this went from a AAA trailer to absolute garbage! it should have remained dead – I would have been more content with the memory of what it could have been based on the first trailer… This looks absolutely terrible!!!!!

This looks really interesting for me. Lonely guy - cool, backup story with his child? - cool, bow - COOL, not some fucking frantic all vs all gameplay - very cool. I just like it. Maybe just one thing......that pipe in the end....nicely painted in such destroyed world.
