Xbox 360

I'm sure there are some train fans out there, and these few should be delighted by A-Train HX, a train simulation made in Japan. The others will certainly be disgusted by the graphics not even worthy of a dreamcast. At least the game seems smooth now, compared to the horrible TGS trailer.

There is at least one person I know who is a serious train collector, he loves these types of simulations. I'm not sure this will excite him however.

Blim, you're certainly right about the graphics. With the exception of only a rare few, Japanese games for Xbox 360 have truly been on the low graphics end.

Even Japanese developed games for the Nintendo Wii are shaping up alot better than offerings like these.

It is crap like this that gives the 360 a bad name in Japan...you can bet your ass that the very same company has something spectacular in line for the PS3...

What the hell is this? A TRAIN SIMULATOR???? I have no idea who would even want to play that, or how it would be interesting. Plus the graphics are horrendous. Microsoft should really have quality control to stop this crap from gracing the 360.

Well, the Japanese actually like this sort of game...

They tend to focus less on appearance and more on... quirky and sometimes super funked up concepts. Those crazy Japanese.

Can someone please let me know why everyone always says they are the 'leaders' in the games industry? Also, why is it important for Microsoft to 'win' over there? I mean other than selling more and getting more profit I really don't care about Japan... their funny and extreme TV shows and crazy culture is nice, but I don't selling more then having any impact on my life at all.

There is a PS3 train simulatior i forget what it's called (probably Densha de go) but that looked amazingly good, graphically at least.

This look terrible in comparison.

haha, that game used video footage, it wasn't 3d, the only 3d was the train cockpit, the rest was all filmed around japan on the lines, so no, it didn't look amazing -_-

edit: its called RailFan

Awsome, I had A-Train for the PS1 years ago and it was really fun. I hope this makes it to other regions, haven't played an A-train game in the longest time.
