The futuristic racing game Fatal Inertia EX, an exclusive Playstation 3 title, accelerates with some images today which focus on the environments it features but also a bit of multiplayer. It's quite well done.
Awesome, nice and colourful environments thats - besides looks great - almost makes me happy. Becouse... the gaming market is too packed of dingy (is that the right word?) games. More forests, nature environments and colourful games to the people :D
I actually got really interested in this updated version of the game. Have read about it and and it seems they've improved it alot ^^ Its sure tempting

Maybe it's to cover up that it isn't really that fast, or that it has poor texture detail.
The rest of pics looks like grabs from a CG trailer (at various resolutions).

It's not a PS3 exclusive (or just the "EX"). I played it on 360 and wasn't too dissapointed as anyone else seems to be. My two major grieves being screen tearing and the big jumps in difficulty levels depending on track / racing league. Besides this, you get 50+ awesome tracks with some nice gfx along the way.

Well the PS3 can't utilize its RAM as effective as X360 does, that's why (in my opinion) the textures really are low-detailed (look closely at pic 7,8). That's acceptable for games like this but only if they run @60fps.

Pic 7 and 8 are rendered at 2560 by 1440, which the game wont run at. It'll bee in 1280 by 720. The only pics relevant here are the last four. (Gameplay Pics). In those pics there is way to much motion blur (imo).
WipeOut HD runs at 1920 by 1080 @60fps without motion blur, and it is looks and feels plenty fast!
Yes, i know that WOHD has seriously simple textures, but why spend time and effort making all those textures and rich surroundings if your just gonna cover it up in vaseline? All you end up with, is a low resolution blurry image.
But that's just my opinion.
