With the movie release delayed to late 2008, Hellboy seems to try and sell it by itself all alone later this year. It looks much better than it did at last E3, but is it enough?
As Hellboy is one of my favorite comicbook characters I have to be looking forward to this. I must say I'm not wildly impressed, but the desert screen (#2) do seem to have some rather nice lighting going on. I agree it seems to have improved visually since last E3, but I'm more worried about the gameplay...
I'm with mkk316. It's tragic that they didn't go with the look of the comic. I think it might be a case, as in the cartoon that the comicbook's creator signed a contract preventing the game studio from being able to mimick his style. He's been paranoid lately that having too many people do things in his style might dilute it's uniqueness.

Is he really? I had always heard him say he's perfectly ok with other artist's interpretations of hellboy, to the point of lunacy almost. Im just tired of the idea that next-gen = realistic. You have an amazing art style with Mignola, you have a hellboy game, why not combine the two and make it way more interesting than simply recreating the movie. Oh well, one can always hope for the future i guess.........
