Xbox 360 PS3

Codemasters released these images of Operation Flashpoint 2, after yesterday's trailer. The game is set to be released this summer on PC, Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.

Codemasters fact sheet:
Set to take gamers as close to war as they’ll ever want to get, Operation Flashpoint: Dragon Rising is set on the 220km2 island of Skira, located off the oil-rich eastern coast of Russia, north of Japan. On this immense open-world battlefield players will experience the intensity, diversity and claustrophobia of a present day conflict from the unique perspectives of an infantry marine and a Special Forces officer, each engaged against the full force of the Chinese PLA. As an epic single and multi-player campaign weaves the narrative, the game will give players the freedom to handle military crisis situations on their initiative.

No where near as good looking as those " target renders" moths ago, but looks good enough in my opinion, pretty much on par with Bad Company but with a bigger scale and scope of course.

Hopefully it still has that " Flashpoint" feel to it. I personally can't wait for some realistic combat action.

Nothing really overly impressive visually, although hopefully they just nail the realistic combat gameplay. That'll do me just fine. I'm sick and tired of generic by-the-numbers FPS shooters these days. I can hear the whining bitches over Xbox Live already.

This game will be awesome if you have enough people to play it. Operation Flashpiont was a great game..if you had the people toplay it..otherwise it was way too big.

  • Melmoth

Melmoth In many ways it gave me a Last of Us vibe. Well written, strong voice actors and presentation, but the gameplay didn't hit the spot for me. I can still understand why so many people like those games (10 Hours ago)

  • Melmoth

Melmoth the vista by running it in 21:9 aspect ration (even though i have a 16:9 tv), which gives more picture information on both sides and worked well for the horizontal design of the level design. (10 Hours ago)

  • Melmoth

Melmoth Having the close over-the-shoulder camera works great for the seamless-camera style presentation they went for, but it's problematic for spacial awareness in larger fights. It did help a bit to widen. (10 Hours ago)

  • Melmoth

Melmoth The mostly two-dimensional level design and not-as-sharp combat combined with a lot of polished animated auto-platforming and transitions made it good, just not a great gaming experience for me. (10 Hours ago)

  • Melmoth

Melmoth to play it. There's no doubt an enormous amount of work put into all the small details and craftmansship in all assets of the game. Very polished presentation. But coming straight off Sekiro, the game (10 Hours ago)

Melmoth @Sdarts: I had a very similar experience. I got it for PC on release. I already had the game on PS4 for a few years, but still shrinkwrapped. So i thought the high quality PC release was a good way.. (10 Hours ago)

  • Sdarts

Sdarts Anyway, just my stupid opinion and it's not meant to be an attack or hurt anyone, I just had a 8/10 experience. That is all. Though the game does have serious flaws. (1 Day ago)
