isnt this content set pre-war? if so why does it still look incredibly post-apocolyptic? just looks like someones coloured a section of the current fallout 3 environment white and blue.

I think they said it's a simulation level of what it was like for the Brotherhood in Alaska back in 2077. I'm not really sure when the nukes started hitting, was it after WWII? Or after 2077? Cause Fallout 3 is set in 2277.

Anyways, I'd think Alaska isn't really that occupied or developed either way. I'm just glad the environment is different from Washington D.C. I'm starting to get sick of seeing brown and yellow all over the place.

Its alaska, there isn't a lot there... lol. Plus, there is a war going on during this, war changes the enviroment a lot. You look at places in gaza and you will see very Fallout 3-esque enviroments.

what are you talking about? judging from the pics above, it doesn't look post-apocalyptic at all, it looks exactly like what i'd expect alaska to look like. honestly, i think you just like to complain about stuff

I think pre-war pine trees would have needles. The trees should be green! But the buildings in pic 3 don't look like the old crumbling nuked type of building, they look intact :)

a lot of the buildings in the main game where intact...and i agree about the trees. they've obviously used assets from the main game to save time, but in doing so they've made the landscape look post apocolyptic....again...i realise its alaska and its a pretty empty place anyway, but at least make some trees that dont look like they've been dead for 200 years...and that dont look identical to the ones in the main game.

Sorry to break it to ya, but this kind of tree (don't know what it's called in english...spruce?) don't lose their needles during winter. They stay on all year round.

Umm the trees that are in the background in that picture doesn't even have needles. Medigo is right, spruce, juniper & pinewood (not sure about the names) doesn't lose their needles at winter. When we talk about trees that have leafs (that seems to be in the picture, not sure pretty bad quality picture) then sure those will lose leafs.

Yes, also notice that the trees behind the spruce aren't spruces. I live in sweden, there are spruces all over the fucking place and they never lose their needles during winter. How about that for an argument? Or do i have to go out and take pictures myself? :P
