Sega released this new batch of images of Sega Superstars Tennis, from the Xbox 360 version (most certainly identical to the PS3 one) and from the Wii version too.
Jet Set Radio and NiGHTS arenas. Nice. Same developer of Virtua Tennis 3 is making this game. This game has potential. Does anyone know if the Wii version is going to have online play? I can barely find any info on this game...
I agree that Beat without cel shading loses a lot.. but.. STILL, it's BEAT! :D
And JSR themed court for the damn win. Shibuya bus stop how I missed you. Also, JSR version, not JSRF version, all the more credit.
It's gonna be a pain to choose between the 360 and Wii versions though. On one hand online play is nice, but on the other this is just the kind of game you'd rather have three mates over and play. We'll see how it plays out.
Finally Sega are using their stable of loveable characters to good effect in a game developed by talented people. I just wish they could've done the same while Visual Concepts were still around. Sega Soccer Slam was an awesome game that people walked in GIGANTIC circles around because of its DREADFUL character design. Nevertheless developed by Visual Concepts of 2K Sports fame, and a brill fucking game.
Yeah, Nintendo needs to get with the times.. But probably they just don't care.. They understand their current market is the casual family party crowd that doesn't care much about online anyway..
It would add to the value of the console and it's games though.. Eventually I think Nintendo will offer it aswell.. They're just a bit slow because they don't really have to atm as their current strategy seems to work fine sofar..
I'm not dissing Sega as I'm a HUGE Sega fan (bought all their consoles since the Master System, except for the Game Gear as I wasn't into handhelds that much but my younger brother had one) but can somebody remind them that widescreen doesn't mean just stretching 4:3 graphics into 16:9, lol! (Check out all the Xbox360/PS3 shots, the graphics are all "short and fat", lol!)

I won't stop your obsessive Wii bashing (god knows I can't) but I'll point out where your facts go racing off a cliff like Thelma and Louise.
Plenty of Wii games have online play including third party titles like Guitar Hero 3 and Medal of Honor: Heroes 2 which offers support for up to 32 players.
Nintendo's own upcoming titles like Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros support it, as does their past titles like Battalion Wars 2, Mario Strikers Charged and Pokemon Battle Revolution.
The reason this game doesn't is all up to Sega/Sumo Digital and their own development situation/decisions. It's weird because NiGHTS 2 is online so they clearly haven't shunned the idea completely, but neither this nor Sonic Riders: Zero Gravity has the option. Weird.

Somebody just wasted countless hours programming in C++.
Get outta here man, this game looks pretty damn good graphically and there's no reason why it shouldn't play like a Mario tennis or something. Looks like some good talent are behind the 3D assets for this, everything looks colorful and nice except that Beat model of course.
Also, the last Sonic game was fairly crappy, but a lot of recent Sega games were great(VF5, Outrun, VT3..)
Anyway, count me in for this. I just won't pay 60 USD.

I think all that Inflatable was pointing out is that Nintendo don't put too much stock in online play, at least not in a social sense. Not that they aren't doing anything at all online, just that it's not given great importance.
Mario Strikers Charged online was horrific in practice and for two months I loved that game. Hopefully Mario Kart will have decent online support but I'm not holding my breath.

Sega should stop hiring interns from Guatemala and focus on quality instead. Make 10 less games a year but release 2 top AAA in lieu.
Like Scarbir said, this has a cool 'funkyfresh' look. Plus I need a good multiplayer game that I can play with my girlfriend.
But oh yeah, I would give my left nut for a good Jet Set Radio remake or sequel.

"Offer it aswell" in response to "screwed out of online play".
