Yea, after seeing the animation in some videos it does look like it might be pretty bad looking. I guess we'll see before too long.

Bionic Commando Rearmed is still my most looked forward to Capcom title this year.

I remember you saying this the last time SF2HD was previewed and I remember me or someone else saying something like "It was done to keep the original game's speed and balance, because adding more frames would change the core gameplay".

Indeed it would. It's the same game, just looking a whole lot fresher.

It would and it wouldn't. If you run the game at twice the frame rate you can double the number of animation frames. Additionally, if the game does run at, say, 60fps but the animations run at 30fps, you can easily double the animation frames by adding "inbetweeners" between each of the original animation frames, thus improving the look but maintaining the speed and balance.

Honestly, I don't think they wanted to take that chance. They don't want to upset the type of people they're actually making this game for.

I never said anything like that, and you didn't even understand what I just said. Apparently you're talking about the frames of animation, I NEVER had a problem with that. However, what I was just now talking about is how BAD the animation actually is. That is the sprites going from one frame to another. I'm not going to go really in depth of what I'm talking about, but if you draw an orange in one frame and an apple in the next it's going to be really distracting and look really bad.

a failure really. throwing a new coat of paint on a classic was a rubish idea, the characters animate horribly as if they're in a flip book..who outside of capcom asked for this? besides, SF4 is pretty much SF2.8 already.

Sorry but it's just them being lazy in today's gaming with 2d fighters like Guilty Gear using old earl 90's animations doesn't cut it sorry

It's far from a rubbish idea since there are enough retards out there that claims SF2 to still be the best fighter ever and who will gladly fork up dough for this crap.

Not that i mind high res 2d, but this is just shitty. We don't need another SF2 at this point. What we need is an updated SF with more advanced gameplay than hadouken spam.

Grift: SF3ts. Hadouken spam with a retarded block system. Awesome. I was thinking more in lines with GG though. Pulling off cancels, bursts, cool combos and just moving all over the place, that's what i'm talking about.

In all honesty I don`t understand why people out there are gonna pay money for the 1000st iteration of Streetfighter 2?!
I mean this game rocked for sure but that was more than 10 years ago..

You guys don't know but remix mode everyone has been given new toys, you cannot argue that people are retarded for calling this the greatest fighting game, when you cannot even give any game title from any genre that has lasted the test of time compared to ST. Hyper Fighting was and is the number selling xbla title in history, SFHD will probably out sell that since it is geared to both pro and casuals. Yes a new 2D SF game would of been awesome but you guys forget this is just an Xbla game with a big ambition.

Game was original just meant to be a trace over of the orignal sprites in HD, but its grown to become a much bigger and challenging project. Those that have been following the games progression, will know just how amazing Sirlin has been with listen to fans. Things like widescreen support, viewable hitboxes, training mode, remixed music, the redrawn artwork would of never existed so we are getting 2 games for the price of 1!

Beta demo should be out next wednesday according to xboxlive newsletter so you can try out for yourselves. Sirlin the producer is calling the game just SFHD, SSF2THDR is just ridiculously long title.

Fix for akuma's huge biceps created by pootnannies of SRK

If you think Third Strike is all about fireball traps--you're playing it wrong.

SF3 > GGXX

Grift: Please do tell what SF3ts does more than the block thing then. IMO guard damage is a complete retardation to start with, so making it "possible" to avoid it by timing is, while a small step in the right direction, far from being unbroken. Except for that i didn't notice much difference from other SF titles, but in all honesty i never did dig all too deep in to it. But really, please explain what makes SF3ts stand out as every other fan of the game i've ever asked just seem to avoid the question, bolstering my belief of it basically just SF2/3/alpha/mega ultra hyper zomg wtf bbq edition all over again. (also note that i'm not defending the myriad of releases of GG either, it's so damn stupid to release it 80 times for small fixes that should just be downloadable).

Furious one: i think you're missing the point...even if they are implementing extra features and shit it still another goddamn version of a game that has seen release more times then f***ing megaman. We don't need another SF2, people need to stop thinking SF2 is awesome and play some new goddamn fighters. Tbh, screw SF2.

Also Akuma looks like a steroid abusing monkey, they need to learn some proportions.

megido, just because you don't think it is good does not change the fact it is a superb game! Like I pointed out people still play it after almost 15years, its not because they are stupid! Its probably one of the most in depth fighting games made. This isn't an average update like the others as explained Sirlin is going more deeper into the game play, fixing the tiers and making it enjoyable for newbies and pros at the same time. There maybe many version of ST but we are talking about almost 15 years here, remix is a proper sequel.

SF3 isnt a fireball spamming game either, fireballs were nerfed alot compared to how they are in ST where spacing is crucial. I'm not so keen on SF3, it uses a new game machinic. IMO parrying ruin the flow of the game.

Im not happy about the akuma anatomy either, but this game has been delayed so much no i'm giving up caring about the artwork.

Honestly, can you even say that crap without laughing? SF2 is NOT the most in depth fighter, it looks like joke compared to GG and SF 3, not to mention Tekken or VF. SF2 has gameplay and controls from 92 and that's very much noticeable when comparing it with todays fighters, anyone denying that is a biased fanboy tard. It's as simple as that.

haha well obviously that proves you know diddly squat about ST, those games may have a greater complexity and large move sets but that is how they get their depth. ST is the opposite, its simple mechanics its almost the rock paper scissors of fighting games. Its funny that you bring those games up VF and Tekken, yeh they are superb fighting games (VF), but look at their history once the new one comes the other gets binned and ppl call ST just a patch lmao. People love ST because it had the addictive competative gameplay, it had the greatest cast in SF (major problem with SF3 was the fact they got rid of everyone, people were so pissed Capcom put Chun Li in Third Strike to make people happy). You cannot ignore almost 15years I don't know why you are acting so blind, its still being played competively till this day, these guys know what makes and breaks this game so with their knowledge and expertise (gathered over the 15years) they are doing their own update, hopefully it will be good enough to be still played ifor another decade.

Anyway its your opinion and this is mine, leave it at that, either play the game or ignore it your choice.
