Eidos and Crystal Dynamics release a few things concerning Tomb Raider: Underworld: a gallery of the new Lara 8.0 characted model as well as a comparison with the Legend version, two nice artworks to print and stick the english adventuress all over your walls, and nothing less than the new logo of the game, finally scrapping out the horrible visuals we had to bear since the first movie. What a fascinating news.

Commented on 2008-04-13 01:26:15Well, 1 was good. But its shit now. 2 was crap. 3 was enjoyable. 4 was slightly similar to 1 but the whole Egyptian theme was vastly overdone. Chronicles was wank, AOD I never played but Legend was a fine game whilst TR Anniversary was absolutely fantastic.

Commented on 2008-04-13 01:28:10And as a graphic designer, I have to compliment the new logo, it looks fantastic, far better than the old "movie" logo they've been using for the past few games, and it seems they've dropped all those annoying "starring Lara Croft" tag lines.
The only classic Tomb Raider game that was worth playing was the original. All the ones after that (especially 2 damnit!) were garbage. But Legend and Anniversary have completely redeemed the series. This is one of my most anticpiated games this year :)

Commented on 2008-04-13 12:07:27In Legend, we only know that she's in her late 20's, and Underworld is a direct sequel, it takes place immediately after the events of Legend, so it certainly wouldn't make sense for her to be that much older. But either way, like I said, I think they're trying to avoid aging her that much. Except of course in Anniversary and certain sections in Legend, where she did appear noticeably younger.
I don't like how they seem to have made her breasts bigger again. They made them far more realistic for Legend, but she seems to have gone back to the silicones here.
