This time around, Immortals of Aveum is showing some 60 fps gameplay, which makes the game look better than in the first trailer. that said, magic powers don't seem to be especially convincing in terms of feedback. A demo would be nice to find out if the game has some potential, but it's unlikely we'll get one.

The visuals remind somewhat of Destiny 2, while the actual combat mechanics remind me of Doom Eternal. There's no hit feedback when enemies are hit, which lessens some of the impact of the spells.
Enemies also seems to be very generic in the sense that they wear variations of the same armor, which makes them look very alike. Hopefully there are more factions, like bandits, monsters and other enemies - one of the trailers shows a flying monster I'm sure we will get to fight.
From the preview I watched, the developers said that the game's main story takes aroud 25 hours to complete. If the gameplay is solid, combat is fun and the story is engaging, and the game can sustain that until the end, then it will do great.
Also of note, there's no multiplayer - at least at launch, however in the preview they said that the developers kept quiet about multiplayer, so it can be that they're working on it to release at a later date or that the game won't have it at all, which would be very odd for a FPS game made by CoD developers to not have multiplayer.
This feels like a game worth waiting for a review before buying, we should always do that, but this game in particular feels more like it could go either way, could be great and the trailers haven't done a good job of showing it, or could be very bad. Best to wait and see.
a game that will be forgotten before it releases.
only this game is even more empty
