Big surprise this morning as Sucker Punch announced that InFamous 2 will feature a mission editor. If you've always dreamed of making your own missions and creating imaginative levels, here is your chance. Video and images inside.
Lol i will not be playing the escort missions that people make unless I hear they are amazing or unique in some way. This is a pretty shocking announcement... i did not see this coming.
extreme pile-up explosions, by the clock checkpoints, platforming to high places.... They are making add-ons of what is the core experience of games as Crackdown. fun.

This will have to hop out of the PS3 and poop on my head to not be my GOTY.
Then it'll just be the Asian hooker you keep in your Charlie Sheen closet?
And this is really awesome. It's like Forge for single player. Things like this make be very happy. And it's good to know that they are ahead of schedule, it means that they are totally happy with the game.
Also, YET ANOTHER amazing looking console game. You guys really are lucky. This looks spectacular.
this is awesome. Lesser devs would charge dlc for this. Looks like you can also share your missions online...be interesting to see just how deep the editor is
i'm hoping the created missions are incorporated into the world itself in single player, not some seperate mode. the end of the trailer suggests it will be. but i'd like some sort of confirmation.
i hope you can set paths for them.. not just place them on spots. Be great if you could actually script something...even if its only like the Operation flashpoint editor

you can create races, so i'd assume you're free to set them wherever you like. i can't imagine it'll be an entirely endless pit of options, but i think it'll create a decent amount of variety...the screen with the enemies on the floating boxes is beyond what i'd have expected of something like this already.
Very cool feature and reason alone to pick the game up i expect.I think it shows Sony is wanting to embrace this more creative side.Truth is more games should have something along these lines though
Forge is excellent on Halo but it's all fairly useless if you want to craft something single player based.Quite why Bungie didn't allow us to drop AI or even some logic based stuff in there is truly beyond me- it's like they stuck their fingers up at the fans
So yeah Sony is doing a better job i would say at catering for the more creative in us
With that said, most people just aren't creative so i guess that's why we don't see a lot of this stuff

Also; comment about storage.
Whatever I put there would be too graphic, so.
Can't wait for some unique missions or just plain fun chaotic action!
Neogaf as usual on the case. Lots of info gathered in the first post, and yeah they seamlessly intergrate into the world.
