Square-Enix has once again updated the official Infinite Undiscovery site with new characters (Toma, Faina, Vika, Sorenstam, Lame, Komachi and Kiriya) along with a few images.
I agree they look like dolls, but I wouldn't say they're creepy, I like the overall look of the game. I'd probably get it, if it weren't out the same day as Viva Pinata.

they're creepy in the same sense that all little girls with long black hair are creepy (the ring)
nha, creepy are the spyked hair emo trash zipper full enfeminate dudes.
Or you can say you choose to hate jRPGs for being jRPG when it's convenient to you. This is the case.
I think the characters look great. They are nicely designed, some of the better designed jrpg characters I've seen this gen. They all have a nice unique about them and even better they appear to be expressive enough to avoid looking too weird. If anything, the main 2 characters that pretty much fail at not looking weird are the 2 kids.

I don't like the 3D models in this game, they are kind of erie looking, they look like dolls or something. (I think its the eyes)
I'm not all that excited for this game anymore, I don't expect to be impressed by it, lets hope I'm wrong though.
I'm glad you finally see what I've been saying all along, the game looks pretty poor visually, extremely dated graphics engine, not pleasing to the eyes at all. However, I'm still really interested in this game as the gameplay looks pretty good.
The Last Remnant is the one that i'm looking forward too, Looks miles better than this game, its gonna be awesome.

That's perfectly fine but I dont think you should blame it on the graphics. it's the Art direction that's completely different. Last Remnant simply appeals to you more that's all.
For me, I like both IU and LR and the same thing applies to Tales of Vasperia. When I play games, I love that the next game I play is totally different artistically from the previous which in this case is absolutely perfect for me: IU then LR then SO. All I am waiting for now is either an EU Tales of Vasperia or hopefully a region free US version ..../fingers crossed

I duno from the videos I have seen it looks pretty nice in motion, what with all the special effects and stuff.
I just don't think the game is going to be that great, nothing to do with graphics really, just a feeling I have.
The game does appear to look a little flat, so it doesn't look like the developers put a lot of time into the visuals. The story line and gameplay may be very fun and surprising though. Most games nowadays seem to be all flare and no substance. If the game shines quality, I'll settle for little flare and all substance. The reason that the graphics don't shine so much is because the cell shaded games of today rival some of the best graphic engines without taxing the hardware much at all. Just look at Eternal Sonata and the soon to be released Prince of Persia.
Game still looks great to me, I really like the art direction they are going with. Looks better than anything ive seen on the system so far in regards to colors and art direction. Oddly enough though, im not excited at all for last remnant. It just looks boring as hell gameplay wise. Wonder if there is a paralell between the two in terms of likes and dislikes.
Also, I think most of my excitement for this game comes from the fact its tri-ace, a company that doesnt ever disappoint me.

Last Remnant has still failed to properly excite me beyond some trailers. Give me real gameplay details and some real gameplay videos then we are in business.
Until then, IU def looks the more exciting of the 2 for me.
