Video Xbox 360

Fuelcell Games has released a long gameplay footage for Insanely Twisted Shadow Planet. The title will be published later this year to Xbox Live Arcade. A game to keep an eye on (according to me).

Hardly doubt that this will find other venues in a short period. MGS funded the project to the point fuelcell contracted 16 new employees to race the game dev. to the end.

the first trailer for this looked seriously awesome. amazing art style, it looked exciting, fast paced, frantic with a great sountrack....

the only thing i see linking this to that trailer is the art style. the game itself looks incredibly boring now, the lack of music is just hurting it even more.

hopefully this isnt representative of the full release. if the game is more like the trailer then i'll probably buy it.

Wow, this looks fantastic and like a lot of fun! It's different and the animation really brings the game to life. I'm hoping there is a PC version but I'll eventually get a 360 slim this year. I'd be happy with either.

Another great game for my arcade collection, nice. :)

Can't see how this can be...boring. If you hate original games - yeah, then probably lol.

edit: oh, now i saw it's going to be xbla exclusive. Now that explains one of the comments above. :P

more like another boring... shooter? this is not.

Feels a hell lot like a Metroid with the power-ups and whatnot, but the labyrinthical mazes... i wished they showed a map menu.

reminds me of microbot. in the sense that it looks nice, but is incredibly slow paced and has no music. i didnt like microbot. it was completely souless for a twin stick shooter. if the trailer for this is anything to go by, it's going to be awesome, with fast paced combat, awesome visuals, and a bad ass dimmu borgir soundtrack..... if this 10 minute video is indicative of how it actually plays...then it's just another microbot to me. i pray it's the former.

If one can be perceived has "ugly"... then surely the other can't be mistaken by anything other than just being another cheap flash game from miniclip.com. So, the lesser of two evils?

I liked the art style.Especially the ufo is very nicely done, 2.5D movement animation and the multitool arm really gives it that extra.

@KORNdog - calm down dude. All of the things from others trailers are still in the game. This is just a tutorial level, which still looks pretty good imo. :)

Lack of music? Did you even watch the video?

I love the amount of interactivity with the gameworld, and just the eeriness of it.

Given that all the graphics are hand drawn and then incorporated into the game, I think this is an amazing achievement; a lot of love has gone into this and I think it shows.

If this was a PS3 game you would be all over it like a catholic priest on a choirboy, but hey ho.

the game does look a little niche for it's own good, but there isn't any other game quite like it in the visual department animation. maybe limbo.

totally, visually and artistically this looks immense. it's the gameplay itself that i think looks boring, at least based on this video. it isnt slow paced in an "arty, trying to set a certain mood" sort of way like limbo was. it just looks boring. if they show some more exctiting gameplay with the dimmu borgir soundtrack from the trailers, then i have no issues and i'll buy it day one. but i wont if it's like this. it just looks way too dull.

This game reminds me of Metroid for some reason, and that's a good thing. I don't understand why people are complaining about slow pace and no music. It basically looks like a tutorial so why would there be much excitement? Not to mention, many, many games out there start off slow in the beginning. This game is going to be great, and anything but dull.
