Lionhead and Microsoft released this new episode of the always interesting Inside Lionhead diaries for Fable 2, this time all about what was shown of the game during the Game Developer Conference a few weeks ago.
I hope they announce ONLINE co-op, not only offline. Offline co-op is just boring.
Unless you have a brother or a sister why would your "partner" create a profile on your 360, thats just stupid really.
Here's hoping for online co-op, if not, I will play this in single player like usual.

You do know that anybody with a Gamertag can take it to their friend's house on a memory card or even retrieve it via Xbox Live on their friend's Xbox360 don't you?

I honestly didn't know :P
But still, nothing beats online co-op.
If you got friends who enjoy Fable 2 and don't have problem with co-op in Fable 2 it is not a problem.
I still prefer online co-op should be in for Fable 2 because most of my friends I have known for a few years lives in different countries.
As my wife's as much as a gamer as am (she has to be she works for a developer!) the offline co-op is a welcome addition, I didn't play the first one, not my cup of tea but my wife loved it so I promised her some co-op on this :)
offline co-op ensures that both players can not split apart too far in the gameworld.
so IMO this makes sense for a game where the second player is the "helping friend" of the main character.
Also the helper can take back the earned money and experience from such a co-op session into his own fable2 story, which is great.
so it's more of a single-player story for the main character (hero) who can have a side-kick. i think this approach is great for a game that follows a strong story line.
Lego Star Wars allowed for online co-op, and the co-op here seems to be modelled after the drop in and out system from LSW. Not watched the video yet, but I was just wondering yesterday when they'd be releasing a new one.
Although the first game was disappointing, it was still a really great game and this time Molyeneux is taking care to talk about features that are already implemented into the game and so far we've seen every one he's talked about. Plus it seems to have almost every feature that we were originally promised.
Single machine co-op was the best thing that happened to Fable 2 in my situation where I, with two of my closest friends, have all different consoles.
I just hate playing over the Internet. There are so many good games on my PC, and we have a close knitted Ventrilo&Hamachi network, but I just can't bear myself playing anywhere else than in LAN.
lol online coop i get the feeling might come... but its something their working on thats why they wont announce it or count it out... they trying to make a mistake and say it will make it and then have to cut it.

But I too would like a new main theme. Russell Shaw and his team are more than capable.
