Xbox 360

As a bonus from Snoopers' nice video, I really had to capture the game in its japanese version, so while waiting for the video for later, here are 60 720p screen captures.
Update: First video showing some cutscenes.
Update 2: The video is finally online!

Anyone know if there will be an option of playing the game in the japanese voice over like enchant arms?

I really enjoyed playing enchant arms with the japanese voice over and it was so much more funny and enjoyable. Hope companies follow that trend

i cant find any way to get the demo to play in japanese...

the only problem i have with it right now is that sometimes i cant locate enemies as fast as i would like, except for Beat, the other characters u need to run up to the enemy to attack them and sometimes i find myself wasting my turn running around looking for the enemy...i did find that pressing the left trigger changes the camera angle, but being able to turn the camera (or change the angle while in pause) would have been better, its a small lil eeek but the game looks great

@gmulis

The answer to that is very simple. In the US and I image in other countries as well, we don't have as significant an animation industry as Japan, and as such we don't have trained, talented voice actors in the same kinds of quantity.

Even if you don't understand the language, it's a basic human function to pick up on inflection and intonation during speech. You can tell if someone is happy, sad, or angry just by the tone of their voice, as long as the voice actor is decent enough.

I'm guessing it is linked to the console, so unless you have a JP console you won't get it to work in Japanese.

You press left trigger or bumper not really sure and it will zoom out.

Ack! Blim! What is your capture card doing to the colors?! I just finished playing through the demo on the same screen I'm using to look at your screens, and when I was playing, it was way more vibrant. =(

I've always preferred dubs. I like to focus on the action instead of looking down every few seconds, and sometimes it can get confusing if all the actors sound like, which is usually the case when it's in Japanese. Thanks for the video though! After playing the demo I might just pick the game up. I haven't played a good, traditional RPG since FF9.

Maybe the settings on your TV are low.

Or maybe your PC monitor settings are too high :S

You're not too much different from me. Japanese games need Japanese voices. But the voice of Polka [Poreka in Japanese, as I can read] is in some Japanese cutscenes a little too much on the panic-side :P.

The voices in the demo are horrible btw, especially when ending fights :p.

Your characters always face the way of the enemy. (plus, you can press LT)

The kanji looks wonderful by the way x_x, it's so easily readable.

I think the voices would be in Japanese but they dont ever talk in the demo. The only time they talk is the small things they say before/after battles. But sometimes in Japanese games they leave the english voices for small parts like that, and the rest is in Japanese.

If you stay on the title screen you get 3 cutscene clips, if on a JP system they are in Japanese, on a UK system they are in english.

I'm guessing the Asian version will have JP voice work and english subtitles, if Namco plan to release an Asian version that is.

Yeah gamers here have pretty much agreed on what i think.

I just prefer japanese games with japanese voice and english subtitles. So much better. Same with anime, wouldn't you prefer to watch it in japanese with english subtitles?

Totally agree... anyone know if there is an option so you can turn them on and off? (Not like it would ever happen, but it would be better to listen to them talk in Japanese and just read the subtitles rather then horrible dubs.)

I still don't know what I should get... this or Blue Dragon. Most likely going to go with BD simply because I've been wanting it ever since I first saw the very first video that was put out.

Get both Azupanda, I'm sure you can get the money. Game seems nice, like the graphics and all that, voice acting sounds lame. Not sure how the Y moves work. Its like sometimes it is sun blast or w/e and others it is phantom wave. And I don't understand the Night Shot move.
