Presented by Rare as one of the worst kept secret in gaming history, Jetpac Refuelled is a remake of the classic games the oldest of us may certainly remember. Here are the first images. Update: And it's even better with a video!
Yep, showing our age, I used to play this for hours on my 48k.
And check out the border graphics for the original graphic version, I see Underwurlde, Pssst!, Sabre Wulf, Alien 8, Atic Atac (key), Lunar Jetman!! Does this mean they might all come to XBL? That would be awesome! I'd also like to see Cookie and Tranz Am
Looking fawking awesome. Rare is a true master of technologies new and old.
Snake r n roll and Battletoads on the NES were some of the most technically superior games on the system, same goes for at least Kameo, Pinata and Conker xbox. Over a year later I wish even a quarter of 360 games looked as good as Kameo.

That is how you remake a game, maybe, just maybe, all the other easy cash tossers will take notice now.
Still would rather have new titles.
A lot of people have been trying the same sort of thing with mixed results. Not everyone has the resources to make a whole new set of graphics for a game that actually look good. Look at Double Dragon--the "enhanced" version looks much worse than the original graphics to me--it makes it look like a flash game.
They did a decent job with Jetpac though. Now bring on RC Pro-Am!
The new version looks awesone, but maybe they'll keep the old version as a bonus? Just don't want to take out old ZX 128k from the store-room to refresh my memories.
haha.. that looks brilliant. I remember the original, even though it wasn't one of my favourites. This looks damn hot though. Rare is really alive and kicking it seems! Bring it!
