Microsoft released the Kameo fankit today, and I grabbed some of the more interesting renders, wallpapers and artworks. Nothing special really, but at least we can see how the characters really look. The world map looks great.
It's true.
Golden eye and perfect dark were amazing for the time, and revolutionary to the FPS genre. But since then its been crap after crap.
Kameo could change all that, but as for rare in the FPS genre, IMO they will never restore their former glory. PDZs gameplay looks dated and plays like a timesplitters game. Bungie is the new FPS king. Bring on Halo 3.
Perhaps I'll be flamed a bit for this, but I thought Banjo and Kazooie was really fun to play. Likewise with the Banjo and Kazooie racing game they made.
Not epic games mind you, but fun and certainly not crap.
As for the two X360 offerings, Kameo I am anxious to play (and have a copy sitting at home waiting on my X360) and PDZ so far doesn't impress me. I hope after a rental I'm wrong, but so far it hasn't.

Kameo will change that. Don't know about PDZ, but I've played Kameo extensively (the final retail game) and I will tell you that it's easily the best action platformer in years.
