Great graphics, music, art and seems to have better characters this time around.
Gameplay is good too, if only they could balance out MP classes then it would be great.

What's up with the lag? Is that in-game? Graphics too good, PS3 can't handle?

I really want to get a PS3 for this game, but because the PSN is a joke, especially when it comes to dealing with cheaters, I'll hold off on it until they improve upon that.

I have seen the gameplay vids, the frame rate seems to be locked at 30 FPS but I don't know why its so low in this video...I guess for cinematic reasons or something

In the beta, the framerate sometimes went below 30 FPS, especially when alot of things happened or you went out and saw alot visual effects.
You noticed some sort of a slowdown when turning around, kind of messes up with your aim, just felt sluggish.

But sometimes it went smooth and fast, so its mixed.
You could totally notice it when you were in corridors with nnot much going on infront of you, but as soon as you go outside you can sometimes notice it.

But then again, that was in the beta, however there is a newer version demo coming out February 2nd, so I am definitely going to check that out...mostly to see if they have fixed the issues of the clases/abilities from the beta because it was bad.

They fixed the performance a lot after the beta and that is clearly apparent from the new gameplay videos (the forest one for instance)

if the game performed liked the beta I wouldn't touch it ever!!

I hope so man because the slowdown was really annoying IMO, coming from games like COD and such.

I rather have them degrade the MP graphics a bit just so they can have a fast and good perfomance.

Personally, I am very undecided if I will buy this game or not, it all comes down to MP because SP is something I will play only once.
If the demo had the annoying overpowered LMGs, crappy Infiltrator abilities...etc. just unbalanced from the beta then I wont buy it.

Seeing that Jungle map video, I see the same issue with Infiltrator that was in the beta, unlimited sprint plus that "random enemy disguise keep looking at the map to reconize enemy or friend" crap, plus boost.

A lot of people bitch about lack of colors, but personally, I love the art direction of the series. Besides, Halo provides me with the color overload to balance the monochrome of Killzone (though Halo Reach drastically toned down colors).

Wow..from the miniscule snippets of gameplay in this clip people actually managed to squeeze out some gripes about graphic performance, hardly surprising but also redundant as this franchise has proven it's graphical chops and is not going to suddenly go downhill for the next installment.

Story looks much better this time around as well, Malcolm McDowell is legendary...

McDowell has that Bruce Campbell factor of being a much bigger thing than the sum of his career, I reckon. Whatever sliver of him you can get in assorted media is a yummy treat. He would've single handedly made Heroes worth watching beyond season 1 if they didn't kill his character and made him a lame ghost person.

Oh and at least he provided about 10 minutes of pleasure in Rob Zombie's horrible Halloween remake. Oh and he made the goofy Tank Girl movie pretty great in a campy way before it even became cult and "that film what Naomi Campbell was in and almost got it on with kangaroo Ice-T".

I just always really enjoy his performances. He's got a weird, delightful presence about him and an incredible voice.

Doom_Bringer, you really do your name proud! How can people actually say there is slowdown in any of these short gameplay snippets. Doom_Bringer why always so pessimistic? Let's wait till the full game arrives. We all know guerilla games are pretty reliable with respect to great graphics and performance.

Killzone 2 had good perfomance? Most of the time yes, but not flawless.

It has sometimes the same slowdown that Killzone 3 seems to have, and that alone screws up your aiming abit, worse when it has that weighty feel to it all.

the only issues i had with killzone 2's performance was the "pause to load" issues in single player. it handled everything else really well. no matter how much was going on. and from what i've seen and heard. they've fixed that problem in K3.

looking forward to it, mainly for single player and co-op and 3D and move support.

Did I say flawless?? No I said GG are pretty reliable with regard to producing great graphics and good performance. Killzone 2 performed excellent, flawless? No. I agree with Korndog that the most annoying aspect of the game were the frequent pause to load. They got rid of these in Killzone 3.

I cannot recall that any of the major FPS is flawless in this regard, not COD, not battlefield, not Halo, none of them, on consoles at least. At least killzone doesn't have any major screen tear like battlefield for example.

Some major slowdown in the video above? If it were there you wouldn't even notice. So like every other game, let's just wait and play the final version.

you watch the game play videos of the final version...there's no slow down

like the level where the dudes are fighting that giant robot thing...the game never slows down at all. Very impressive performance

No you didnt say flawless, it was good.
But sometimes it just made my head hurt of the motion blur with weighty feel and slow turns that felt like the game was running slow or something...sometimes it was great though.

But the perfomance isnt the biggest issue here, its the classes, if they dont fix those then meh.
