Here's some fresh screenshots from the Killzone 3's Retro Map Pack DLC.
The two maps (Salamun Market and Blood Gracht), take players back to 2359, when the invasion of Helghan had just got. Both maps are reworked classics from Killzone 2. Check out the sreens below.

Wow, seriously this game is really impressive. Easily the best graphics on consoles, looks to have a much better storyline than 2 and the MP is amazing! I even prefer that to KZ2 despite the control switchup (which I haven't really noticed :S apart from that firing from the hip still gives you a very stable and precise aim)
Waaaaay to early to call it for definite (especially considering UC3 and TLG coming out this year) but certainly a potential GOTY. No potential multiplat looks like it could top this game at all.

this is cool
... have to admit, they made changes between the closed and open beta
those screams from downing the soldiers/yourself are funny at first but borderline annoying after a while

Fantastic. These KZ2 maps look better than ever. The game looks crazy in motion but the pics also are great

I LOVE the changes they have made from the Closed Beta to the new Open Beta (they have even made some further tweaks, so expect a release day patch!).

These new maps are great, but Salamun Market was definitely my favorite, good thing its in daylight now. You can see more details, even the ISA ships in the sky.
Killzone 3 has a awesome snowstorm level in MP that I saw in review videos, amazing atmosphere (no not the one in the demo).

Thank god they fixed the main issues from Killzone 2 such as...

Controls, you move like a tank and the delay was annoying, thank god thats fixed.
Bulletsponge enemies. You could empty an entire clip and the chances would be they wouldnt die, unless they had low healthbar or its a headshot, good thing its medium fast kills now.

I was hesitating on a purchase a few weeks ago because of the classes and weapons from the closed beta, but I love the changes they have made, so its day 1!

super sampled. you can find these images in a rediculous resolution, they've just been made smaller (720p)

the game looks amazing tho, just not quite that smooth AA wise

been playing the beta...thankfull it controls ALOT better than KZ2...so much so that i'm probably gonna pick this up now.

Can't deside which is the better looking from playing the KZ3 beta, and the crysis 2 demo. Character models in KZ3 are definatly better though

well i played the open beta and enjoyed it ALOT more then the close beta, mainly cause there were no MECS! please keep it that way. it just totally ruined the game for me

I finished top in the 5 games i played :D the only problem? i play on my bros PS3 and he didnt like the game so the odds are he will not buy it and seeing as i dont play often enough (i am at uni most of the year) to buy it myself.. i will not be able to play the full game :(

Easily KZ3. There was a comparison a while back and even KZ2 comes up trumps against crysis 2 on consoles. Horrible lack of AA and vysnc, pop-in like mad and low resolution textures everywhere make Crysis 2, visually, hugely lacklustre especially considering what Crytek promised us "the best looking console game to date" LOL

Yeah KZ3 looks sick and has amazing attention to detail, atmosphere. In fact KZ3 looks twice as good in motion than pics.

Exaggerate much? The textures do load a little slow at first, but up close they have nice detail- much better than the majority of KZ2's. Pop-in like mad and no AA? You either can't have played the demo, or you've got a case of fanboy-fever. What I've seen of KZ3 does look better( haven't played the demo yet), but Crysis 2 still looks pretty good, and does a number of things very well...

Played the demo of C2 and beta of KZ3 and I'm really not joking, C2 uses some sort of proprietary edge AA that is extremely poor - much worse than even the QAA used in KZ2, let alone the MLAA in KZ3. stair stepping effect is apparent on every surface, worst of all on the gun. Sounds like you've got a case of butthurt fever to me :P Texture loading shouldn't be a problem when they claimed it would be the best looking console game ever, let alone tearing, poor geometry, low LOD and low res. textures. The character models are far from KZ2's as well and the lighting isn't as impressive either. What I'm trying to say is it's very underwhelming graphically, Crytek should've just let the game speak for itself instead of just getting spanked by 2 year old games (KZ2) and lots of games since then.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Am5n7p40wMw I think there is maybe one or two instances of detail pop-in, and you have to watch for them (although the first couple seconds of a load have Mass effect syndrome). The AA is just fine, although it does come across as low-rez-ish. Stair-stepping on every surface is Hyperbolic. It has very sophisticated lighting (especially indoors) and has nice HDR effects. There is also a great deal of detail in the environment. Their rag-dolls are utter shit though.
I'm certainly not saying it looks better than KZ on a whole, but to imply KZ2 has a bunch of high-rez, uber-detailed textures is pure denial. Please refrain from posting a picture of the really cool ground texture from the first level. Geometry isn't that great either. Killzone's lighting is Movie-style, which is more dynamic and punchy and Crysis has always gone for a less staged, more-natural look. Killzone hides a lot of it's visual flaws(quite well) behind a limited color palette, constant blur/lens effects, and wind/ particles. Again, it all comes together with a fantastic look, but you are over-hating on Crysis 2 in order to boost Killzone. Let the game stand on it's own. No-one is arguing that Killzone looks better, and KZ3 looks to really improve everything over 2( which is why I have it pre-ordered)...
