It's kinda strange the console that is forcing kinect down our throat isn't releasing with any first party kinect titles. You'd think this would be a dead cert launch title. Or even a pack-in, wii-sports stylee.
I have to admit, Rare games still have that distinguished Rare look, even if most of the old employees are gone :D
Looking forward to this game. To agree with Korn, I am also a bit disppointed that it won't make launch. But if they need time for fine-tuning, so be it. There are enough exclusives to get over the first months
The justification is simple: if everyone has Kinect in the box, it's a big incentive for devs to actually implement it in their games.
I still believe some really good things will come from this over the next years. Just believe. This is a creative industry after all ... even in times of sequels vs. new IP's in the [felt] ratio 8:2
Btw, gonna try out this game next week on FRI, so I will post my impressions in the XO thread
They should, at the very least, bundle some very nice little tech demos for Kinect in the box to at least showcase what you paid the money for. If MS had any real foresight or brains, they'd have done this. Visually this looks really nice. You'd be forgiven for thinking these were CGI renders, but they aren't.
This will be the first Kinect Sports I own. Graphically, it looks really good. I want to see more from Rare on this platform...Conker, Banjo, Kameo...I hope they deliver this gen.
Yeah it is a bit strange there's no MS Kinect game at launch (there's bound to be some sort of tech demo thing).. but I guess they're gonna be selling Kinect on its use with the dashboard and part of the system as a whole..rather than something just used for games. You can bet Kinect will feature in the XO adds on the lead up to November with voice commands ect

I agree, they should at least have some cool demos. Personally, I really want it for interfacing. I'm already annoyed that I can't use my voice to operate my tv or Blu-ray. I often find myself saying "xbox pause" when I have to leave the room, even when I'm not using the 360. I hate having to find my remote, lol, and if I'm not playing a game, I hate powering on my controller.
There are some launch games that use it though(like DR3, Forza 5), and I just saw an article that said DICE may be including peek/lean/voice kinect control in BF4- that is something I've been wanting for ages.

Nope, Kinect needs a killer app type of game to justify itself, not some crappy gimmicky party game.
Anything would have been better then nothing though.i mean, they're trying to sell a bit of tech not many people want for $100 more...doing so with very few games that take advantage of it, non of which MS made, just seems...weird.

I do think a big part of it is the whole experience thing. Games, but also the interface, which I've already talked about. Do it for a week and tell me you prefer the other way ;) It's a bit disjointed with the first kinect, and I still love it. The new, deeper integration should be awesome, imo...
