GSY Video PC

As promised, we're back with some Microsoft Flight Simulator beauty for a first long visit of France, starting with Nantes and finishing in Paris. Despite the new drivers released by NVIDIA, our RTX 2080 Ti and our i9 9900K struggled to maintain a framerate above 30 fps in 4K with ultra settings which, as most simers will confirm, is not an issue to enjoy the game. In the first part of our little stroll above Nantes and the French countryside, we even tried to push some of the graphics options that could beyond the ultra preset, just to see. This new episode of the Flight Simulator series, which started back in 1982, is undeniably impressive from a visual standpoint, with never before seeen details on the ground, mind-blowing weather effects and hyper realistic lighting. We can't wait to see more, we can't wait to show you more, but until then buckle up and get ready for a first glimpse of France!
Update 2: One last video in France added, next we'll be touring around Europe a bit.

The graphics in this game are insane. I can't wait to play this in VR.
It would be nice, by the way, if you could make some videos using only the cockpit view, I find it way more spectacular and realistic than the 3rd person view.
Thanks for the video, anyway.

I try to regularly show the cockpit view too, though maybe not as much as you'd like I guess. :)

I'm loving everything about MFS2020. Everything I've seen and read just makes this game be so much more than Halo Infinite in absolutely every level. I'm only touching on this because with HI's delay - and even before, this should be Microsoft's killer app for the Xbox Series X.

If Asobo and Microsoft can optimize the game to run at 4K@30fps with most of PC's Ultra settings or 4K@60fps with a mix of high and medium, this could inspire many people to make the jump, as I've read a lot of various comments on YouTube, Reddit, gaming sites and Twitter.

It's also a very beautiful story for Asobo, which after the excellent A Plague Tale: Innocence, gets to shine their talent once again. I'm kind of astounded that Microsoft hasn't bought them yet, which could be great for them if that means much more resources and a bigger team. I honestly can't wait for their next game and I hope they get all the recognition they deserve.

Another great thing is how new and refreshing MFS2020 feels, yet still being very familiar with past games of the franchise. Innovating and evolving while also respecting the series legacy. It's a very successful game critically and hopefully commercially.

Then there's the timing, which just like Animal Crossing: New Horizons, it's the perfect experience at the exact time we need escapism and the wonder of the outside world the most. It's also a great meditative game, which again it's perfect timing.

All of this makes for a really inspiring story all around that just makes a bleak year less bleak. I hope Microsoft understands the masterpiece they have on their hands and the perfect timing of it all. They really need to start heavily marketing this game, just like Nintendo did with AC:NH, specially since for people who don't like cartoony/kids games or don't have a Switch, this will be a very strong reason to buy a XBSX.

I am playing since yesterday morning since I switched my Windows locale to Australia and was able to download sooner, but man is this game beautiful. I find it totally relaxing (with idiot controls of course), but plan to do the tutorials soon.

Unfortunately my GTX1080 is not the best for the job but it's running at 40fps in 1080p with the best AA method, so I am good.
