Black Rock Studio has released the first making of Split/Second, dealing with the concept of the game and of course its explosive Powerplay. You will be able to wreck vehicles on May 18 in North America and three days later in Europe.

No love for MotorStorm? :(
Not really sure Motorstorm has much in common with these two, nor is the third coming out near the same day...
...that being said, I fucking LOVE motorstorm and the third MS will be a day one purchase for me
Any word on the theme the third motorstorm will have? I thought Pacific rift added a LOT of value simply by having much better variety in track design. The physics are still a little half-baked, but the game has a certain charm that just can't be denied.

i reckon (or at least hope) that the third will amalgamate all locals that we've seen so far, so we get the desert/rocky/muddy environs of M1, we get the mountainous/volcanic/water/jungle/beach environs of M2, and we get the snow/ice environs from arctic edge (which btw, is surprisingly good, i miss some graphical effects but i'm surprised by how much it FEELS like motorstorm)
all new tracks, but running through all those varied locations. it'd be awesome and it's really the only way to go forward with the series, unless of course they go back to focusing on a single environment? which could either be awesome, or a major mistake.
in dream land, i'd love a system where it was litterally a huge mountainous island with looping tracks scattered across it. but you had the ability to interlink them to create longer tracks. or even make point to point races that run from the top of a snow capped mountain, all the way down to the beaches below. all the while passing volcanic areas, dust and dirt and even jungle terrain types. it'd be awesome sauce.
