Kratos is from God of War and God of War franchise is exclusive to Playstation platforms, basically, Kratos is an exclusive guest to MK for PS3 version.
360 might get a guest as well, but 360 has no exclusive character that is good at brutal combat (Ryu Hayabusa does not count considering NG is a multiplatform franchise).
I can't think of any other character from 360s side tbh.
Anyways, I dont like fighting games, but I am really excited to see how they will implement Kratos into Mortal Kombat.
I wonder what his brutality and fatality will be like, God of War franchise has fatality all the time so examples are definitely there :)

I am pretty interest in this game, the Kratos trailer kind of hyped it up for me even more.
I love some of the counter attacks and X-Ray moves the charcater can do, and the combat looks very visceral and punchy which I really like.
Rumors have it "Brutality" is going to be in the game? I love brutality much more than fatality, superfast combo attacks until they blow up, very awesome.
In-game visuals are very great too, I love this video for some reason http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iJHfMJDvmzs the atmosphere of the level and Sub Zero's ice sword is awesome.

The CG fight between Sub-Zero and Scorpion looks excellent but Kratos part was kinda forced. Still, it looks kool (MK style). I just wish they hadn't gone with stupid pre-order exclusives :(

Yeah, that store exclusivity is just crap. They could have at least included all 3 classic costumes and fatalities in the Kollector's Edition. I mean, what if I want to see human Reptile along with classic Sub-Zero and Scorpion?
Tbh though, ever since the MK9 + Kratos trailer, i have been watching more videos of gameplay, I just cant stop thinking of the new MK now.
God of hope they release a demo for this game before release.
