Platinum Games and SEGA have released 8 new screenshots of their fighting game Anarchy Reigns where you can see some new characters such as Mathilda from Mad World.

Hard to believe this is the same bunch that made the sublime Okami.
Yeah the sublime Okami, wonderful artistic game that sold poorly across two platforms. Unfortunately, there is a fiscal reality underlying the game industry that means this whole "broad audience appeal" thing is unlikely to go away anytime soon. Having said that, so far I have no reason to believe that Anarchy Reigns will not be a fun title, sometimes being a game snob can also go too far. Platinum have a pretty damn solid pedigree with action games and I enjoy the nihilistic humour of their titles.
Still, fingers crossed for a sequel/ spiritual sequel to Okami some time in the future...
