Konami has released new screenshots of Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 which depict the modern day part of the title, plus some boss renders. The game will be out on February 25.

Love the art, but the gameplay of the first was lackluster to say the least. Hope it improves and this plays as well as it looks.
Combat was, decent at best in the first one and platforming was meh, and the framerate didnt really help it either. But from what i have seen from LoS2, it looks to be improved more, and you get 2 new weapons based on energy usage (hopefully with infinite cheat unlock as bonus like god of war games).

Thing is, since there's a PC version, I think there's a good chance that a decent port could come to ps4(like Tomb Raider).

ROFL!!! Keep dreaming of that "glorious PC master race". That "glorious" race had to wait almost three years after PS3/Xbox360 release to play Castlevania: LoS on their "glorious" PC's. And what you get at the end, just an option to change resolution. I have (good) PC (and PS3 and PS4), but when I play some game on it I don't feel that I'm better/superior than any of console user.

Really? You actually took that post seriously and interpreted it literally? *face palm*

The hole is already digged for all members of PC brotherhood. I will stop this (meaningless) conversation not because you're telling me that, but because i don't want to waste my time talking with some trolls.
Wasn't impressed by the demo tbh. Combat is still plain garbage and on top of that there is too much platforming, which also suck and is as automated as possible.
Will buy it at dirty cheap price, only for the environments and setting.

Thing is when a game is good....its good because of the "overall quality". But if you're one of many of the kids on this forum and others and only care about poly's and vfx then I guess you will never be satisfied. Me I see as an addition to my PS3 Greats Collection. But I will say it gives me chills to think what a PS4 Version would be like! Its already 60fps, the rest would just be 1080P with killer textures, tessellation and AA.

I didn't have much problems with the combat in LoS, but it sounds like it hasn't really been changed or improved in the second one?

Yes, dirty idiots who want nice looking games! I mean if LoS is anything to go by that is probably the only thing this game will offer anyway. I mean the combat i LoS was bloody AWFUL. At least imo. Only played a few hours, so maybe it gets better, but i was not impressed by the actual gameplay in that title.

Based on demo, what demo gives you so many combos and power abilities compared to the full game? I can think of one...Ninja Gaiden demos. Gives you like lvl3 weapons in the demo for you to have fun, I highly doubt in LoS2 demo you barely got half the abilities Dracula can pull off.
In LoS1 demo you didnt get anything special at all compared to what you could do much later on in full game.
But then again, when I saw the demo video of LoS2 i also thought it was pretty much a reharsh animations from the first one interms of combat, barely anything special to go on by.
But as a overal experience, the combat does good to get the job done for making it manageable atleast to finish it to experience the awesome atmosphere, music, story...etc. atleast to me.
Besides, from what I read, in LoS2 we will be able to play as Alucard as well so I am excited to see that guy in action and see how he does things.
Yes!I thought inside my brain, then i read screens and became excited still, just not as much.I wonder how the parts as old dracula plays gameplay wise?Any word on what the collectors edition has going for it?
LoS had more depth to its combat than GoW once it got upgraded. The real crux was the level design and enemies, the two didn't mix all the time. Enemies swooping off screen, attacks going at unseen enemies. Other than that, it had a lot going for it.

Man...I just want the steel book cover for Lord of Shadow 2....they can keep all of that other stuff. (I'm too broke to import the collector's edition). Anyway, that dude in the picture (with the lightning coming out of his hands all sith-ish, looks like a cenobyte from HellRaiser.
Thanks Sath,it seems nothing must be planned for NA.I see nothing on GS,i may have to order online and get the uk version or something, because i really want the CE.

But yeah, a "next gen" 60fps version would be awesome.
