Most games (indie or AAA) are just some well-worn genre relying on some huge gimmick. Most gimmicks have even been done before, the question is it fun/engaging?
BTW, this "gimmick" really hasn't been done before and Dark Void doesn't count, because this not just a few vertical sections. You can reorient all over the place and gravity is insane (I played it, but if you don't believe me, look for their grenade tossing video).
I'm not saying it's going to be amazing, but if it's fun, I'll play Gears of Physics.

I also love those colorful visual effects and the environment.
