Seeing a game with this kind of in-game animation that blurs the like Way better than just having some way good cutscenes, and then the gameplay is on par as last-gen (albeit already really good) and being 60fps from the get-go msut really have some reasoning why it looks this good, is what rocks my boat. Even if it technically way way simpler and less busy.
And Ratchet still looks better overall with much bigger scope, scale and density. Not to say this doesn't look good, it's beautiful and I'm gonna day one it on PS5.
Just some key opening cutscenes are CG, as it make sense, all the gameplay cutscenes are real-time and you only need to follow the scene to see the cliff one as full of hints as the ground textures, character detail/modeling as not refined and rendering artifacts (chekboard/aliasing on the hair).
The fact that it fools upclose as they simulate the ilumation solution, and material really well and more importantly ANIMATION AND FRAME-RATE. Ratchette isn't impressive anymore as it doesn't bring to the table nothing new on that area that wasn't already seen on 2016 Ratchet&Clack game. If onything its unimpressive being a next-gen iteration, it really adds more detail/fidelity on the rendering solution, but wows? nah.
