Ah the definition of cool, when it was all a bit different for Sony. I think it's great though that Sony supports their franchises the way it does and Wipeout is hard not to like. Very happy ps1 memories. I'd buy this in a shot if i had a PS3
Quantum Redshift i would argue is the better game though
quantum shift had a lot of potential, but the tracks couldn't handle the speed.
Anyway, wipeout and that other Nintendo series will have to do. I prefer some aspects from all three though.

Yeah i think it would do MS good to actually put some of their franchises that they own out there for fans. Fair enough there is Arcade and i guess they mostly wasnt to concentrate on big hitters as well, but plently of people want Killer Instinct for example or a Crimsons Skies. Regards to Arcade, MS are good with lots that they do have on the channel but i'd argue there is more forgettable stuff there- in that case we know it wont sell so how about something MS themselves persue for the fans that doesn't have quite as much focus of $$$ profit

As a big enough fan of PGR2 to use that Jack Black photo, I'm surprised you don't see the appeal of a new Wipeout. The biggest racing game fan in the world could go their entire lives on a diet of only PGR and Wipeout games, and still be satisfied. Those two series are possibly the best in the genre of high-speed gaming skill and performance.
