Since it's on the Frostbite engine and previous games with it that I tried like Battlefield-series supports framerates above 60 this should do to.

Please tell me there are options to disable the horrible looking health bars over enemies, the giant enemy direction circle in the center of screen, stamina and health bars, and permament objective markers.

Theres a global setting to disable "Runner vision", I'll check if it can disable health bars too.

Motion blur can be disabled, by the way, it's off in these videos.
I don't remember if DOF can, I'll check.

I had vertigo when I was just looking at it on the screen don't even want to know (1st hand that is) what would happen with VR. Alot of jumpers lose consciousness before they hit the ground, this genuinely makes me wonder the effects dropping in mirror's edge would have on a VR user.

You definitely can disable motion blur, I did not see the option to disable DoF.

What drivers and windows version? I have overclocked 980Ti and i7-6700K and I am unable to sustain even 60 at 1080p. Even if I set the details to medium, I still got drops, and my gpu usage is at 99%. I have no idea what is happening.

Windows 10 Pro x64, Nvidia Driver 364.96 (an hotfix, should be the same performance as 364.72).

Is your GPU running at the right speed ? It can be throttled down after a driver crash, restart if you're not sure.

It is, I have OSD enabled at all times.

Here is one scene at all detail presets:
http://imgur.com/a/r3Wob

I am using vsync, so max fps is 60. As you can see, at 1080p low settings my gpu usage is 65% on a overclocked 980Ti (boost clock 1450 as seen on OSD).
On ultra, GPU usage is 99% (GPU clock 1437) and framerate drops below 60.

Could you check this scene on your rig? I am using windows 7 and 364.72 drivers

I get 65 FPS in 1440p and 99 FPS in 1080p in the same spot (but the two runners weren't there) : http://imgur.com/a/TgIXu

I use a 144Hz screen, that's why I get over 60 FPS, and of course, the game is set to Ultra.

You are using Windows 7, you might consider updrading to 10 as since Windows 8 there's some nice improvements in DX11 games, but the difference is still huge, try doing a driver cleanup with DDU.

For me the game runs like crap on a 970. Constantly drops below 60 (even on medium), and sometimes as low as 35-40 FPS with max GPU usage. I have the latest hotfix drivers (I always use DDU), but I use Windows 7.

@Simplex and THU31:

Like Miguel said, it might have something to do with Windows 7. Even Windows 8.1 is a little better than Windows 7 for gaming, as it does consume less resources and has some benefits.

But since the difference shouldn't be this big, you guys might want to consider this tip from an user in the Mirror's Edge: Catalyst official forums:

https://forums.mirrorsedge.com/discussion/comment/...

Also, in the same post there is a response from a DICE developer who said DICE will keep working on performance problems. I expect most of these issues will be fixed by the time the game is released.

Good luck!

Well, you were right, but this is ridiculous, it has no right to work like that.
