Released on console last year, Need for Speed is now available on PC via Origin Access and will finally be released next week. Here are some videos in 1440p and 60 frames per second.
It never occurred to me that a the PC version release is this much later than the console version, I mean, it's a cross platform game from a third party developer, why the delaying?

I've tried the game yesterday, but all those damn - and unskippable - videos made it very boring, very fast. Why do they do that? Intro - drive 20 ft. - movie - turn tires -> movie.
The gameplay itself is as boring as the videos. You have no sense of speed. The car may be driving 180kmph, but it sure as hell doesn't feel like it.
Too bad, because I was looking forward to it, and the game does look nice. Anyhow, this is a pass for me.

Exactly. I reinstalled NFS: Underground 1 few weeks ago, and it amazed me with the sense of speed, even 80 km/h felt _fast_. And every car turn or speed change made me feel it, even without any haptic feedback.
NFSU 1 has a sense of danger and physics. Modern NFS games lack physics VERY much.
P.S. NFS: Shift was a sim, but I'm talking about fun arcade physics, which still has to work well.

Wow. This looks terrible. This looks like a low budget entry from a no-name company. No sense of speed coupled with the wonky driving physics and disappointing visuals really make this one a turd of a port.
