I've just put online our new stream player on the site. Our previous player was using JWplayer, which while being a great player cost us too much, so after some testing we decided to move on to Videojs, a free and open source player. The switch was quite complex technically as I had to quite a few small changes here and there to get to a more or less feature parity between the old and the new player. I have no doubt there are bugs, but we tested this on a lot of platforms, including the current consoles. Please let us know in the comments if you have any issues.
It's important to mention that this will not in any way change the quality of the videos in the stream, they are still encoded the same as before.

It should not lag, it works the exactly the same for everyone in the team. If there's anything Blim can do, it will be done in time, but we're not going back to the old player.
My other problem is not player related, older vids are not available, even 2014 or early 2015 vids but whatever, no big deal. the player was a big deal but this new is better for me.
Good job and mij respect to the team, its always good to see how effectively you can can run a site(product).
Keep up the good work.
PS:Any update yet on patreons or payed membership ?
In all seriousness now, I'm glad you guys were able to find a free solution, I always download Gamersyde's videos, but it's nice to have a good stream service in case I have friends over and want to show high quality videos without needing to download again, in cases where I deleted them after watching.
I don't even like having Flash installed, causes more trouble than it's worth it, but some of my favorite sites only use Flash, and some games' sites use Flash for interaction. So for now, it's a necessary evil. But the more people embrance HTML5, the better.
They run effortlessy. I can't do this on Youtube, i can't do this on Gametrailers (that doesn't even work) or on any other website on the whole internet as much as I know.
This is amazing.
Thanks guys, you're awesome!
EDIT: They even run 1080p 60fps. On a 9 years old pc! Yes there's stuttering every few frames but honestly who cares, this is almost a miracle. I'm stunned!

Anyway I only hinted 1440p or above because if it was better than Youtube's quality it would bring them the traffic they have lost

We haven't lost traffic because YT can do 1440p, we have lost traffic because publisher content is now mostly Youtube only or when it's not completely, it remains exclusive to YT long enough for people not to care anymore when we get the video(s). Also, most gamers don't really give a damn about video quality, YT is more than enough for them. As simple as that.
And then again, why would we support 1440p (or more) streaming when we have almost nothing at such resolution to share with you? Those who truly want 1440p don't stream, they download the original file for the very few videos Miguel can capture at such res.
Minor bug to report - when I open the streaming page, 1080p is selected (orange), but if I press the middle play button, it will stream 720p. I have to either click the already selected orange 1080p to start, or change it once playing with the settings button.
thanks guys, i hope you will always be able to keep the quality so high
Other thing, didn't know where to ask. Why no DOAX 3 videos?
