SEGA and Rebellion have released a new trailer for Aliens vs Predator showing us the ultimate multiplayer experience. Not less than 7 online modes will be available with the game on February 16 in North America and three days later in Europe.

that poor demo really put me off the game. They should of released a single player demo - always the strongest part of AvP.

Definatly not a day 1 purchase for me now.. it will probably be alongside Darkvoid in the bargin bins soon enough, may pick it up then. Too many other quality games coming out.... that don't have a broken demo firmly in peoples minds

not touching this even if it suddenly got masses of possitive praise, they had their chance to impress and they blew it on a broken, half assed, multiplayer demo.

i believe it's got the honour of being the first demo on console thats needed to be patched

Just what was so broken about the demo? Poor gameplay yes and bad game mode yes. People are just hyping the multiplayer because they remember the good old days where expectations were low, but in truth it was always bad. I'm going to get this game for single player and thats it.

i thought the demo was pretty cool, and i'm a veteran of the original game from back in the day. I think it depends on who you play with, i downloaded it on the ps3 and only managed to get into a game for about 20 seconds, but on steam it worked like a charm and I had some good times with lots of people, even though it was a deathmatch demo we still turned each round into team species deathmatch which was very cool instead of it being a free for all... :)

All this focus on MP leads me to believe the SP isn't any good. Personally I never play MP, so this game is a miss for me.

demo didnt even work correctly for ps3/pc gamers till they patched it this week.. i'd call that broken.

The poor gameplay, visuals, and choices for the demo, that awaited them was just iceing on a cake

Suppose it's unfortunate for you guys then, downloaded on steam and I'm on my university's connection and I joined and played games perfectly fine.

Gameplay has a unique feel to it and does a great job of capturing each respective character, and I can't say anything about console graphics, but the pc ones maxed out are pretty dam sweet and the use of lighting has been used to great effect here. Also the models, especially the aliens have been done brilliantly although seeing them run around in spectator cameras is abit iffy. The audio is another area which they knuckeled down perfectly.

Gamespot and Gameinformer both gave the game 5/10 starts. Ouch. Looks like the MP demo was a pretty good indicator of just how dissapointing this game will be.

Of course reviews aren't everything, but after that demo I'm pretty sure this game will only appeal to the hardcore fans of the series.
