Valve released a new batch of Left 4 Dead 2 images for the Comic Con, these one showing a rather murky swamp level.
Loakum Ugh….scratch that previous comment. The upcoming Game of Thrones video game is a F’in mobile phone game. Why can’t they came an open world GoT game, like Witcher 3 or God of War? (> 3 Months ago)

Commented on 2009-07-23 16:58:52The difference between graphics today and back when the Source engine was new are not as great as the leap between 2000 and 2004. I really don't think Valve will need a new engine until Crysis-level graphics become mainstream; and that's probably not going to be for a while.
The biggest advantage of the Source engine is how optimized it is. I can run that kid on my Macbook Pro with a big resolution and a great framerate, without having to sacrifice any of the neat effects. I really think Valve have the right idea with that.
COD4 has a really great engine, too.
