It is not much and it's pretty dark but we just received a new image of Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine. I have a feeling we are going to hear a bit more about THQ's new Third Person Shooter in the coming weeks. Patience.
i only have a very basic undrstanding of this franchise. and the footage hasnt exactly been "wow" so far. but the screen looks cool. could be a pretty good third person shooter/hack n slash (assuming you use that chansaw looking thing as a sword?)

lol, i dunno, but i expect there will be a lot of clipping issues to remedy the problem. surely he can't be a limited as he would be in reality? i mean, the guy would barely be able to bend his elbow 90 degrees.

Those "mans" are genetically mutated humans. Bigger and stronger than humans, neuro contacts with their armors. Basically human tanks with as much armor as possible.
But his armor plate is bigger than it should be...

Have you seen the Starcraft 2 Intro? Blizzard nicked most of the Designs of the warhammer40k universe, but at least they showed quite convincingly how a spacemarine armor works.
can relic really do a good TPS? Either way, i really couldn't give a damn by any new game they make thats not Homeworld 3. (I know the Dawn of War & Company games are good too)

There is no need to rush, this game really just has to avoid being sold right next to Call of duty next or Halo next as that can kill this game's chances with all of the overhype and free pass those games get

No, StarCraft was actually a 40k game. They just lost/couldn't aquire the rights so they had to cut their losses. So not most. Pretty much all. But gameplay is all important anyway in a game like that.
Also, even in the DoWII intro you can see the way they move is a little wonky because of the shoulder pads (lots of torso movement), but these shoulder pads look about 50% bigger lol. I dunno.
The engine is coming along better than I might have expected, looks pretty sharp actually. Nice lighting. Hope this does well, I love the universe, and DoW has been awesome.
