As a game developed by a small team of fifteen people, Testament: The Order of High-Human looks quite good visually and since it runs very smoothly (despite using UE4 some might say), it's a pretty appealing title at first glance. It is presented as a first person Metroidvania, which also is appealing, and its medieval fantasy game world seems interesting enough. As it mixes combat with platforming sequences and puzzles, the promise of a certain variety is there too. The only problem we have with the game so far is that combat clearly lacks feedback, which is a real shame. Skills can be unlocked so maybe by gaining new combat abilities or new magic spells it can change and imprive the overall experience, but the beginning of the adventure is not as engaging as it should as a result of that.
