GSY Video PC PS4 Xbox One

The closed alpha for the upcoming For Honor began about an hour ago, so we rushed to prepare some footage of the PC version running on extreme settings. Inside, you will find the tutorial and another video showing some co-op combat against the AI. More to come very soon.
Update: Added two videos of the Dominion mode in 1440p and 5.1.

i think i'd rather buy a From Software Souls PvP arena based levels game, than this. the gameplay seems so dull.

Looks pretty damn good. Though, I think the enemy outline is a bit too user-friendly and tacky. Can it be disabled?

looks alright. is there anymore new reveals for TGS or is it a continuation of the same stuff from last year? also where is the FFVII remake and KH3? this feels like not the best TGS ever, sad.

Good thing it's an interactive experience and not a video you watch.
It's simplistic but that doesn't mean much. Between two somewhat skilled players the sword play sounds like it can be very dynamic and fast paced.

My only issue in this footage is how little the shields of the soldiers matter. Kinda silly. Makes the player feel like a "master chief" esque super solder than can just rip through shields with a single strike, which is silly. Sword play itself looks and sounds pretty interesting and I look forward to seeing if they pull it off.

Not really sure how you'd even make a PvP exclusive souls game. How would builds work? Also part of the complexity of this game will come from other factors than pure dueling, like Souls pvp. Team play, area control and stuff will make up for simple sword fighting (if that is even the case) i imagine.

I think this looks cool at any rate. Hope i get invited to the alpha/beta at some point :)

Been watching a lot pf people play this and it looks really nice graphically. It just doesnt look like there is much to it. And when the single player looks as half assed as it does i'm not sure this will do very well. I smell a bomba!

I watched Oroboro play PvP for about an hour, and to me it looks like a lot of fun. Seems like there is a degree of complexity to the combat when you get in to it imo. You've got the side steps, the parries and just general spacing seems to fill a role as well as just blocking and swinging. It also looks like you have these little windows where you can interrupt incoming attacks and stuff. Looks cool to me, will definitely want to give this a go.

Does limbs chop off yet? Because if I'm playing a hand to hand combat game I want arms to be flying and heads to be rolling.
