GSY Video PC PS4 Xbox One

Available since May 3rd and free for Playstation Plus members, Table Top Racing: World Tour has been given the Gamersyde treatment on PS4. The game features toy car races set on tables or even pick-nick rugs and it quite reminiscent of the excellent (but long gone) Micro Machines series. Some power-ups are added to the mix to spice things up a bit, just like in Mario Kart. Since the game is free provided you are a PS+ member, give it a try yourself and tell us what you think about it.

Good arcade racer, worth buying if you don't have PS+

I hope there's a deathmatch and derby mode similar to Mario Kart.

This is pretty much the most generic MarioKart clone ever made. That in itself is bad enough, but this game earned itself deletion from my PS4 through it's truly awful soundtrack.

the track design is better than the boring track design in Mario Kart, the music is good but I understand that it's not your style.

toelessfoot Right. I think programmable shaders were adopted fairly early on consoles (xbox360/ps3) (2 Days ago)

  • MrWhite

MrWhite @toelessfoot: Well, only recently they have been. I think this is the first gen I've seen where PC's are playing catch up. Not through hardware power, but through development cycles (2 Days ago)

  • toelessfoot

toelessfoot Yeah I think innovations on the console side are taken up more quickly by PC than vice versa because consoles are really lead platform for everything (2 Days ago)

  • MrWhite

MrWhite At least for most gamers. Similar to when everything went to pci-e (3 Days ago)

  • MrWhite

MrWhite I think we could be seeing a dramatic shift in PC hardware where it'll be essential to own both an SSD and a next gen card with the api's to use them. That also would probably require new motherboards (3 Days ago)

  • MrWhite

MrWhite If a game is built from the ground up to take advantage of that, though... (3 Days ago)
