Miguel is back as bus driver!
When Miguel loves a Bus "game", he covers it a lot

Nice driving there by the way, it looks fun :D

Thanks!

I really like it, very relaxing indeed, I unlocked more of the map but I will only be able to explore it when I'll come back.
I also want to try longer buses but I don't have enough money yet.

There's many random events that can occur, you can disable them and change how often they could happen. I also disabled the cash machine this time, it made me being late at each stops ^^

Two questions.

How is the Tobii Eye Tracker Miguel?

How is the feeling of driving? Is it on par with Euro truck sim?

How is the Tobii Eye Tracker Miguel?
Really great!
I bought it last year when I started playing Elite Dangerous (along with a HOTAS), and I really like being able to look around or just move my eyes without needing to wear anything on my head like TrackIR (which only does head-tracking).
It's really precise and quite responsive (the head-tracking is faster with TrackIR but not that much), in many games that officially support it you can tweak several options. In games not officially supporting it (like Elite and Euro/Am Truck) you have a software emulating TrackIR or the mouse movement (depending on the game).

In games that support it you most of the time have these features :
- aim at gaze (when you press the left trigger or right click it will aim on where your eyes are looking, aimbot-like :D)
- clear UI (UI elements fade out when you don't look at them)
- interact at gaze (just look at what you want to interact with)
- extended view (either eyes only or head, or even both, just look to the edges of the screen to pan the camera, or turn your head a bit)
- and many more

I also use it on desktop and management games like Cities Skylines and Surviving Mars : I mapped a button on my mouse to move the cursor where I'm looking, very efficient on big screens :)

Most Ubisoft support it, some other games I enjoy with Tobii (I linked the one for which I did videos using eye-tracking) :
- Elite Dangerous (more than 800 hours using it) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TIMRUhIqhg4 (showing a bug and looking around)
- F1 2017 (head tracking is great in this one) http://www.gamersyde.com/news_nos_videos_pc_f1_201...
- Kingdome Come Delivrance
- Bus Simulator 18
- Far Cry 5
- theHunter http://www.gamersyde.com/news_our_videos_of_thehun... and http://www.gamersyde.com/news_pc_videos_of_thehunt...
- Vermintide 2
- Assassin's Creed Origins http://www.gamersyde.com/news_videos_pc_assassin_s...
- The Division
- Ghost Recon Wildlands

I did not try with my driving wheel yet, only with Xbox One Elite controller and .... my HOTAS :D
Yes, in these videos I'm playing with my HOTAS, because it has enough buttons to map each function.

In both cases it felt great, you really feel the weight of the bus, controls at precise and felt like a sim, so I'd say it may be on par with Euro Truck, it's not arcady at all.

Super post!
Thank you. That was a great informative response! Going over to a friend next weekend who owns a Tobii so I'll get to try it out irl.

Really interested in getting both a Tobii and this game.

You're welcome :)
Note that there's two versions of Tobii Eye Tracking, the EyeX (old one) that only tracks eyes, and the 4C, that tracks head and eyes.

toelessfoot Right. I think programmable shaders were adopted fairly early on consoles (xbox360/ps3) (7 Hours ago)

  • MrWhite

MrWhite @toelessfoot: Well, only recently they have been. I think this is the first gen I've seen where PC's are playing catch up. Not through hardware power, but through development cycles (8 Hours ago)

  • toelessfoot

toelessfoot Yeah I think innovations on the console side are taken up more quickly by PC than vice versa because consoles are really lead platform for everything (10 Hours ago)

  • MrWhite

MrWhite At least for most gamers. Similar to when everything went to pci-e (1 Day ago)

  • MrWhite

MrWhite I think we could be seeing a dramatic shift in PC hardware where it'll be essential to own both an SSD and a next gen card with the api's to use them. That also would probably require new motherboards (1 Day ago)

  • MrWhite

MrWhite If a game is built from the ground up to take advantage of that, though... (1 Day ago)
