First 10 minutes Wii U 3DS

Shantae and the Pirate's Curse is a platform game available on 3DS and Wii U. Third episode of the Shantae saga, we are dealing with a very pleasant game which is particularly efficient. Art direction is very nice, even though it will not to everyone's taste. We strongly recommend that you start the adventure now if you own one of the two consoles. Four gameplay videos showing the beginning of the adventure are included in the news.

Again... I just don't get it
In your opinion, which one out of these filters is the most enjoyable ?

Lazy devs. Any homebrew emulator on Xbox 1 (yes, the very first one) does better.

I prefer the 3rd image quality with scanlines. At least to me, 2D retro games without scanlines look horrible and those 2x-4X filters (forgot the name) in the 2nd image look out of place if playing full screen - though not in all games.

I prefer the original image, Sal just destroys the details in the image and scanlines hurt my eyes.

Those scanlines may hurt because it's a PS quickie i made. There are better, believe me. But to each his own. The point is: Devs should at least implement those filtering options so everyone can choose them individually and/or combine them. Bilinear, SuperSai, SuperEagle, Scanline, DotMatrix, CabinetMode etc. At least do your homework dammit !

2x SaI, thanks for the reminder. Been a long while since I played any emulated game. Tastes vary differently, but I agree, developers should offer more options, otherwise you end up with a game not suitable for full screen.

Soo... how is the game? I've never played a Shantae game and it looks badass.

I always thought Shantea's first appearance was on SNES, when it was originally on GBC. Still, it looks so familiar, like I know this game all my life.

I think just upscaling it looks the best, screw the filters, just give me the pixels, also i have the Shantae game on steam and i think it looks great.

MrWhite People don't read books. They'd rather listen to some dickhead talk smack about shit they haven't a clue about, despite them claiming they have an education in a certain field. Its enough to convince (2 Days ago)

jmd749 Yes, we live in the information age, but most have lost the skill/ability of assimilating and interogating that info. That's why the small misleading sound bites on twitter/facebook is preferred. Sad (2 Days ago)
