Techland unveiled 4 new images of Dead Island, their new "FarCry X 28 days later" FPS. We can see some nice zombie executions and a background that already makes me drool. Can't wait !
Just a bunch of crappy looking shots of zombies. This reveals nothing other than perhaps the general visual style of the game. I wish companies would put their hype-machine on hold, at least until they have some footage of the actual game to show.
this game was shown in motion a few weeks back in a teaser trailer. environments look pretty lush and the effects going on seem decent (depth of field) (much like call of juarez really) but also much like call of juarez, despite its issues it still looks strangley impressive. its not great, but then you look at the environment that stretch for miles with awsome depth of field and it just look great. problem with techland is that they're games always FEEL really dated and sort of generic.
i really enjoyed call of juarez, i'd even go as far as calling it the best western game out there. good story, nice graphics, but it just felt very "FPS design 101" to me. a very by the numbers shooter. and i think this will fall into the same catagory.
arnt they also doing an almost direct far cry rip off too?
yeah bout the crowbar, why do people always got to bring up half life wen it comes to that. i always thought a crowbar was invented long before half life came out.

i think its because no other game has made the crowbar such an iconic weapon like half life has...half life wouldnt be half life without the crowbar.
