Konami has published these first screens and renders of PES 2011. Players and stadiums models still seem to be top-notch, but what about the gameplay revolution promised by Seabass as every year? We'll have to wait until this Autumn in Europe to get the answer.

Zombie Ronaldo and Zombie Ibrahimovic in the first pic. Why can't they have normal facial expressions? Or a healthier looking skin tone?

lol at the PES series. i remember when it used to be the bee's knee's, the mutt's nuts, and in general the best football game out. what happened? fifa world cup 2010 is an AWESOME game. great atmosphere, great physics and animations, and best of all FEELS great to play. PES is gonna have to come up with something special

The game looks pretty great graphically, apart from some of the character models - Ronaldo just looks... strange. We have to remember that the focus this year is on animations, and it's impossible to judge them fairly in screenshots.

It's also worth noting that Jim Beglin - an actual football commentator - has replaced Mark Lawrenson as part of the commentary team for PES 2011. Finally we'll have a decent pairing.

PES2010 looked better than FIFA10 and fromt he looks of things, PES2011 will look better than FIFA11 but i really doubt it will play as well. We'll see!

I just hope the gameplay is back up to standards like PES 6 was back in the old days... I don't really care much about graphics. But since the next-gen consoles, PES was awful to play when compared to FIFA on the next-gen consoles.

FIFA is graphically better, but PES is more realistic. But of course, FIFA has been kicking PES' arse in terms of gameplay for years. Sad, but true.

Fifa plays better but that doesnt mean its better :| if you get what i am saying

fifa gets boring quick cause you see te same goals same moves over and over again, where as in PES scoring a goal actually feel good. and 1 thing that makes PES better then FIFA no matter what is the individuality of players and teams, unless FIFA makes huge changes they will always be behind PES for me. the only year i played FIFA instead of PES was 09 and tats only cause PES09 was a punishment to play lol

i still play PES10, i just love the feeling of scoring goals even if the animations and defending is awful. the fact that i can score anytime from anywhere is what makes it good, in FIFA you know you cant score from certain situations and that takes the surprise factor out of it

No, because FIFA plays better and is better.

And I don't see how PES boasts individuality when all the players either move like:

a) Robots who are in desperate need of their limbs being oiled;
or b) Wannabe Baywatch characters.

only if you play the same "moves" over and over again. played FIFA10 since September09 and it never got boring, playing FIFA WC since release and it just doesnt get boring. so it must be you.

Screenshot3 actually looks pretty good but then again, we all know how it's gonna turn out in the end.

True story.

I play FIFA 10 practically every day - mostly online - and not once has it ever felt boring or repetitive. In fact I'd go as far to say that, in terms of replay value, it ranks amongst the best this gen has to offer.
